A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day

Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.

You'd Never Believe...

why this is not a super-duper-wonderful-knock-your-socks-off thread...
and instead a let's-see-what-we-can-throw-together-quickly effort.
But here are some possibilies

1.Oliver had 24 kittens.
2. The FBI confiscated my computer.
3. Hurrican Dennis took off our roof.
4. Woolfie and I had a mad 4 day get-away
5. I had heart,lung, liver, brain transplant over weekend.
6. I was out of state getting art lessons from Billie.
7. As I was kayaking on the Euphrates River I decided to visit w/troops a few days
8. My HTML went on pity-party strike for user abuse.
9. I went flying with Dutchess to California to see Just Amy & Mama_bear.
10. Diver Dave, Scubachick and I went to the Bahamas to check out the water and hurricanes.
11. I went to help Gabz following her foot surgery.
12.Snugs needed help in England with her dad.
13. Aquamarine needed some help sorting out her geodes.
14. I stuck my foot in my mouth(again) & needed to have surgical removal.
15. I joined Lance/crew for the most recent stage of the Tour de France..

Well, whatever the reason.. ..
HERE WE BE!!!! ..

And we will “be” for 3 days on this one thread. So post fun things, words of wisdom & use this for a three day HTML sandbox - think billie will be around to help ...but a few will be traveling.

And to use this time to wish a happy birthday to my DEAR son Jeff who turned 33 yesterday. His bride of 10+ years Shannon has a birthday today. Here they are with their two children at Stan Hywet last summer.

I can't imagine what the summer is turning out like for for a kid with casts/splints on both arms.

I know that I have put a major damper on my 7yo's summer by busting my ankle, but it has got to be so much worse for Christian, with not only the pain, but the not being able to do stuff. God love him for keeping that smile.

Hi Just came home.. out of town company.. three sets in next few days but none are overnighting here, which is good because I am too busy FReeping to clean & things here are choas.

How was alabama? did you have any "hurricane action"

We "weathered" Dennis, but we were so far up - Decatur - that it was like being in a windy rain storm. Sure glad we weren't in B'ham!

Loved Alabama - it's green in the summer!!! The humidity, etc. wasn't bad and the heat index was perfect for most of the time we were there.

We should be going back sometime in October - for good. I'll have to email you all the details.

I've been home for 2 hours,but had to eat dinner and wait until the computer was vacated by my hubby.:)

Glad you had a good day at work. I have to go in at llam tomorrow. At least I'll sorta get to sleep in. It's an easy day--in some ways better than driving for 8 hours. My fanny was so tired by the time we got home!

Well I figured if I don't say a word ,I would be able to eat my dinner in peace and quiet.LOL.

I wasn't even going to get on,until my hubby told me that Petronski and Cyborg are getting married.

I caught up here on FR Finest,but haven't made it over to the Canteen yet.

I'll have to be at work at 11 as well.
