I was putting my Baby girl to bed and I caught some bits and pieces of Isikoff. Did I also hear him say that the SP said last week that this was about a criminal act against a whisleblower?

The problem is, nothing that we do, will matter come October or sooner if Fitzegarld finishes earlier, that will be the big story, no amount of talking about issues, getting the word out there, it all comes down to who he indicts.

Even if the President wouldn't pull out the tape recorder to play the exact quote, Scott could due it in his daily press briefing. It's about time somebody besides talk radio corrected these blatant lies.

The only thing more nauseating than being lectured by Democrats about a higher standard of ethics for elected officials is the willful misreporting about what the President promised to do to the leaker.

The press alone ran this thing up the flagpole, trafficking a story about planned leaks that were orchestrated to punish Wilson. Facts -- nasty things, indeed -- have destroyed their original premise, and now they are forced to change their demands. I often wonder where the Democrat party would be today if the American public had a better memory for what these people say.

This is what happens when people are governed by hate. They push stories that play into their version of events. And they're so convinced that they are right (and so laughably arrogant) that they have to fall back on the "fake but true" card when it all falls apart. Thank God for Freepers and the like, who have taken away the information monopoly from these ideological psychopaths!

No. Bonehead O'Donnell also said he is POSITIVE that Rove leaked and outed Plame's secret agent status, yet no one seems to think she was even covert, yet we get to watch the left wing morons drool and spit all over the air waves about it. The lib media keeps pulling dirt down on themselves and this will really help. I can't wait to watch the dirt get packed down tight with a shovel. They are losing air and as soon as Miller realizes shes covering for someone who isn't the one in jail and sleeping on a dirty mattress, this will all be over.

Wag the Dog was a movie with Dustin Hoffman that was "supposedly" filmed before Monicagate happened. It involved a Presidential campaign where the sitting President and a "firefly" girl were involved and showed the "firefly" girl in a rope line with a beret as the President came by -- same as Monica. The RATs talked about what a coincidence but I never believed that for a minute.

Now I am convinced that the whole Monicagate was orchestrated by Hillary to take the heat off of Chinagate as it is evident she knew all about everything in the WH. And the movie Wag the Dog was just another way of diverting attention.

I know I have my tin foil hat firmly in place.

Michael Isikoff (the "reporter" of the KORAN story) was just on Hannity & Colmes. He is obviously not happy about his fellow "reporter" being in jail and it showed. His contempt for the Bush administration was also obvious. I guess the "American People" finding out what liars they are is a little upsetting to the OLD MEDIA.

The OLD MEDIA was clamoring for an investigation and they got one. They found out the Supreme Court doesn't think they should be above the law and they aren't happy about it. The are definitely after the Bush administration. There is absolutely NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!

President Bush is only saying this because he knows they are not working for him and his people are in the clear. The real source is sweating bullets somewhere, not that there was a crime committed, just because.

Let them chase after them. They have nothing. It's killing them that Bush won and they will stop at nothing. Of course by January 08, they will give up.

The court really wants her testimony. Right now she's in for 4 months for civil contempt, but the Washington post(?) had an article that said the judge is considering criminal contempt is she still refuses to comply.

The problem is that the MSM is latching on to a subsequent response which muddied the waters:

Q Given -- given recent developments in the CIA leak case, particularly Vice President Cheney's discussions with the investigators, do you still stand by what you said several months ago, a suggestion that it might be difficult to identify anybody who leaked the agent's name?

THE PRESIDENT: That's up to --

Q And, and, do you stand by your pledge to fire anyone found to have done so?

THE PRESIDENT: Yes. And that's up to the U.S. Attorney to find the facts.

He is on Hannity and Colmes saying he KNOWS that the SP in this case has a case and it is federal laws that have been broken....he is POSITIVE.

Isikoff is just angry because he was found out to be a LIAR.

I agree the print media had their own "interesting" spin, but I noticed this from John Roberts on CBS News this evening:

"Let's bring in our National Political correspondent Gloria Borger now, and Gloria, President Bush seems to have set the bar in terms of what it will take to fire anyone: 'A crime must have been committed."

BORGER: "That's right. Today, the President made it very clear: 'You're only going to lose your job if you broke the law." So, John, that means if you knowingly leaked the name of a covert CIA operative, you will be fired. It is also against the law BTW to leak classified information. But, if you're just leaking information to discredit a political enemy, that happens every day in Washington."

(I think they've gotten much better since Dan Rather "left voluntarily").

Transcript From WhiteHouse.gov

Q Mr. President, you said you don't want to talk about an ongoing investigation, so I'd like to ask you, regardless of whether a crime was committed, do you still intend to fire anyone found to be involved in the CIA leak case? And are you displeased that Karl Rove told a reporter that Ambassador Joe Wilson's wife worked for the Agency on WMD issues?

PRESIDENT BUSH: We have a serious ongoing investigation here. (Laughter.) And it's being played out in the press. And I think it's best that people wait until the investigation is complete before you jump to conclusions. And I will do so, as well. I don't know all the facts. I want to know all the facts. The best place for the facts to be done is by somebody who's spending time investigating it. I would like this to end as quickly as possible so we know the facts, and if someone committed a crime, they will no longer work in my administration.

Did you see Helen Thomas asking why Bush didn't just call everyone into his office and demand to know? Is there any doubt in your mind that he has done just that? What I want to know is why we need these insufferable press attack dogs? Wouldn't it be better to try to find some objective reporters and put the primadonas out to pasture?
