CONSTITUTION PARTY NATIONAL COMMITTEE TO MEET IN COLUMBUS, OHIO

The Fall 2005 National Committee meeting of the Constitution Party will be held September 16 and 17 in Columbus, Ohio.

Please watch this space for details on registration and the meeting agenda.

On Friday, September 16 the the business meeting of the National Committee will be held. That evening there will be an awards banquet.

The meeting will reconvene on Saturday morning, September 17th. The National Committee meeting's official business will end with lunch on Saturday, followed by Howard Phillips' and The Conservative Caucus' special Constitution Day events. The weekend's activities will end at 5pm on Saturday

Guliani's a Lefty thru & thru...yes, he may be a great leader, & he showed a lot of class during the 9/11 episode (especially when he turned down the $ offered to him by the Saudi millionaire who blamed 9/11 for our support of Israel--GREAT JOB, RUDY!); yes, he was terrific @ lowering the crime rate in NYC (or so I have heard, anyway)--but he's no conservative, he has little respect for limited government & family values (remember when he moved in w/ a homo couple after splitting up w/ his wife?). I think it's despicable that he would become a serious contender for the GOP Presidential election in '08.

You should have stopped writing right there. Rudy isn't my first, or even second choice for a presidential candidate, but that doesn't stop me from respecting the hell out of the man.

Not true. A Conservative Republican vote for the Constitution Party takes one vote from the GOP column. A Conservative Republican vote for the democrats takes two votes from the GOP column. You must be using that "fuzzy" math.

There are several Dims that I have a smattering of respect for: my own Sen. Mark Pryor (AR), former Sen. Zell Miller (GA), former Rep. Tim Penny (MN), & current Rep. Harold Ford (TN), & Major Bob Bevelacqua & Alan Colmes from FOX News. I'd never vote for them, but @ least they r not the raving, angry socialist lunatics that dominate the Dim Party Elites....they are quite respectful towards others & can tolerate those w/ different views w/o insulting them, IMO.

This 'experiment' was almost a success. Just one failure shouldn't give cause to accept a defeatist attitude. If anything, it showed that the monopoly can be broken.

Our Constitution requires 3 branches of government with one having two chambers. Can someone be so kind to point out to me where it requires two, mush less any political parties?

No, I've already explained it on this board multiple times. These threads start, someone says "what section violates the Bill of Rights," I point out several sections and explain each one, and they are unable to refute, so the result is silence. Then I see the same Bushbot on another thread arguing the same thing. Over and over and over again.

Because it doesn't have a chance in H*LL, I will continue voting Republican until we get enough of a majority to turn out the RINO'S. So you would rather vote AGAINST someone than for someone? Once people start voting principle over politics things will start to change in this country, until that day, it will take a very long time to change the status quo. I dont necessarily agree with everything in the CP's platform, but you know what, they want to do what is best for the American people. You can have a great platform and political ideology on paper but if you dont follow through with it, it's worthless. Take a look at the Republican party's. Government has grown and we are still getting sold down the river. Until people like yourself, whose intentions I'm sure are good but slightly misguided, things wont change. The republican party wouldnt be so bad if they would actually let some people with truly conservative principles run for office but you know how it goes; they say what needs to be said and once elected, screw us into the ground. That is why I've had enough with them, and any true conservative republican doesnt stand a cold chance in hell getting pushed into the spotlight for the next presidential election.

I just do not agree with the premise that being a member of a particular "party" makes one candidate more worthwhile than another.

It has been said that character can be defined as doing the right thing, even when no one is looking.
