Few Islamic countries have taken steps to tackle the pandemic as the death toll continues to mount.
''I just pray that God ends my life before more symptoms show. I don't want to create problems for my family.''
Before his HIV-positive diagnosis in 2001, the Egyptian engineer who spoke these words thought that AIDS was a faraway disease that afflicted only foreigners. He had no idea that the global AIDS pandemic had reached his country. Now he says he would rather kill himself than be rejected along with his family by neighbors and friends, who regard HIV as synonymous with sin and shame.

PING!
Denial ain't a river in Egypt.
hehehehe!
But honestly, this is serious!
;-)
well afterall, you always here that men are for pleasure and women for babies in the muslim world.
hard to believe, but....
Ill winds, and all that.
Can camels, sheep or goats get AIDS?
Yeah... I'm heard some sick sick stories about Iraq and Afganistan and not about the Taliban or terrorists. Don't be fooled, those people are not "people yearning to be free" they are culturally entrenched in widespread rape, abuse of women, and homosexuality.
Where's the outrage from PETA?
I knew all that bending over in their majids would lead to trouble..
Maybe they are trying for 72 on the front end and counting on the post mortum 72 promised.
Isn't Islam wonderful? There is a solution for any personal problem.
Dance with the Devil...
They should try reading Deuteronomy and the Judges then they see what awaits them. They won't so......

Gee, that sounds familiar. Wonder where I've seen that sort of thing going on?
on the one hand: I am disinclined to weep for those who catch lethal pathogens by engaging in gross and promiscuous sexual activities. Reap what you sow, and all that.
on the other hand: if this leads to a massive reduction in the teeming hordes of militant Muslims who are, don't doubt it, our enemies... the pragmatic and inhuman part of me would be tempted to call this a good thing.
on the other other hand: I can easily see how some clever swot might gin up a fatwa claiming that those with AIDS can cleanse themselves of their defilement and remove the dishonor they have brought on their families by strapping on Semtex jumpsuit and blowing themselves up amidst the infidels in the Dar al Harb. Hell - it'd be a two-fer: explosive damage and biological warfare.
so, in sum: I am hard pressed to say whether I find this information good, bad, or indifferent.
I'll drink to that news........Bottoms Up! ragheads.
We can only hope.
Well, if the men keep buggering the boys and passing them around, just what do they expect?
By crikey, that's terrible news!
