My favorite scene today was Chuck Schumer on FTN.

Schumer said he didn't think that a law had been violated in L'Affaire L'Plame. Yet Schumer prided himself in being the first to ask for a special prosecutor to investigate the matter.

Why did Schumer ask for a prosecuter to investigate a matter when he didn't think a crime was committed? Will the MSM ever ask? And if Schumer has changed his mind regarding whether a crime has been committed, which facts have changed his mind?

"I disagree completely with his ONLY solution to our current problems: The complete withdrawal of Western Military forces from the Middle East."

I find fault with his solution and the causes of the problems. Our presence in the middle east does coencide with the current rise of islamofasism. However, the current rise of islamofacism also coencides with the fall of communism.

The USSR controlled these groups with an iron fist keeping them underground. After the demise of that evil empire they found their methods were effective against ill prepaired governments.

IMO.

The only reason the reporterette is in jail is because there is another source besides Rove. The question is who??

NOT TRUE.

Attorneys, as officers of the court are always expected to be truthful when in court.

Lying or misrepresenting to the tribunal is a serious matter whether or not the lawyer is under oath. A lawyer who is caught lying to the judge, even not under oath, is subject to immediate sanction.

Thank you. You confirmed what I had surmised from this thread. This story is beginning to feel like the DSM story - all smoke and no fire. At least we have a SP on this one, who it appears is intent on taking someone down.

Actually, I think the only ones not sworn to tell the truth are the defense lawyers.

Kiran's interview with Barone, and her description of McClellan "lying" is probably one reason that most of her duties at FNC are on a early hour during the weekend!

It is PAINFULLY obvious this story lost its legs too fast.

The "special prosecutor" demand was stage II of the Rove attack.

It is apparent the NEW media has exposed the fraud of this story.

The ONLY reason for a special prosecutor in this non-crime story is to drag it out.

Democrats want the issue not the solution.

I would have thought if a lawyer was caught lying in court he would be judged as in contempt of court or whatever is your similar law.

"Attorneys, as officers of the court are always expected to be truthful when in court."

I have personally witnessed a justice department attorney lying in the Thomas P Jackson's DC Federal District Court. When I asked how he could get away with that, an attorney responded, "He wasn't under oath."

I think you are right Morgan. Listening to Podesta now he is nothing more than a lying Clintonista. You can't believe a word he says and he can't prove anything at all/ Just a lot of rat/talk and spun lies.

I suppose I have just taken it at face value that exclusive is exclusive.

It is. When Wolf Blitzer is interviewing someone one-on-one, he is interviewing him exclusively--there is no one else involved in that particular interview.

As for an exclusive interview being about the subject "stating something they've not stated before," that's what every interview is about. I can't imagine any reporter who doesn't want to get something new out of an interview.

The news media are just like everyone else selling something, they want to make it sound special. When a newspaper prints a "Final Edition" it doesn't mean it's the last edition of that newspaper ever, just that day's final; when they will "see you tomorrow" they aren't seeing you at all. But when a reporter is interviewing someone by himself, no other reporter or network is involved with that particular interview--it is 100% exclusive.

One thing we must NO forget when listening to interviews and reading articles about this...especially if you read the latest article in TIME from Matt Cooper, is....

Matt Coopers is married to a woman that is not only friends with, but works for Hillary Clinton...therfore, anything he does or says must be considered against that backdrop...

I am SURE that Hillary has told him how to get around the truth....she and her husband have done it for decades!!!

...this all boils down to weakening President Bush to the point where he doesn't feel he has the leverage to name a conservative to the Supreme Court.

This is what it has ALL been about for over 4 years.

1) President Bush was "selected" not elected, therefore he has NO AUTHORITY. Which led the President to compromise far too many times in his first term to calm the commie/RATs for the good of the country.

2) Claiming voter fraud over and over before/during/after the '04 election, in spite of the FACT numerous voter fraud actions have been found, but AGAINST the communist/demonRATS, and have been sanctioned by the courts. (read WA gubernatorial race amongst MANY others)

3) Claiming 51% is NOT a mandate in '04, while 43% was a mandate in '92, therefore disqualifying the President to be the President. (IMHO if all the voter fraud was revealed and reversed the President won the election with 60% +/- 2%)

4) Repeated fraudulent claims that "Bush lied" about the war. Regardless of the countless debunking of said claims.

5) Repeated HYSTERICAL attacks against any and all in the administration, from the President to VP Cheney to SoS Rice, SoD Rumsfeld ... all the way to WH spokesman McClellan.

And they are getting away with it all because no one is willing to state the obvious, not even here on FR.

In the latest "NadaGate" attack to much energy is being expended on nothing. Seven (7) words, and only 7 words, should be used to answer every question, insinuation, charge of impropriety or espionage, or what ever they want to call it. Those 7 words ...

VALERIE PLAME WAS NOT A COVERT AGENT.

Simple - no rocket science involved.
