(Clown) Wilson clarifies comment about wife's C-I-A role

WASHINGTON The husband of the C-I-A agent whose cover was blown is clearing up some confusion over a comment he made to C-N-N.
Joseph Wilson said yesterday that his wife, Valerie Plame, "was not a clandestine officer the day Bob Novak blew her identity."
Today, he says he was only pointing out that once her identity was blown, his wife lost her ability to be a covert agent. He says he wasn't suggesting that she had stopped working undercover for the C-I-A beforehand.
Wilson is continuing his attack on White House adviser Karl Rove, for discussing his wife with columnist Novak and Time magazine reporter Matthew Cooper. The discussion came just days after Wilson had written in The New York Times that some of the administration's intelligence on Iraq's nuclear weapons was twisted to exaggerate the threat.

Tonight thousands of Dems in D.C. are popping pills to deal with the massive headache of disappointment they've suffered. It's always most painful to receive bad news on Friday.
Their trips this weekend, to the Hamptons and Cape Cod, are wrecked for sure.

When you lie as much as Wilson, clarification becomes a full time job."Oh, what a tangled web we weave

Oh, there is nothing wrong with my ability to read/listen. It is just that I prefer to read the whole thing, whereas you just want to take a little snippet that sounds like what you want him to say.
I guess I could cheerlead along with you, but what fun would that be?

She NEVER worked undercover according to the Law. Outing her was the same as outing the janitor that cleaned the bathrooms at Langley, although he would be more valuable than Mrs Wilson.

Hey, tobyhill - is this what you mean by 'stumbling over himself?'
WILSON: "I've never said it was the vice president who sent me. It's clear in the article. And, indeed, it's clear in an interview that you did with me last year. And if you run the tape on that, you'll see that what the statement that they used was chopped out of the...
BLITZER: But, basically, you still hold to the notion that the whole idea of sending someone to Niger originated in the Vice President's Office?
WILSON: No, no, no, no, no. The idea of sending someone to Niger originated in response to a request from the Office of the Vice President -- that's how I was briefed -- that required an answer.
The decision was made by the operations people at the CIA, after a meeting that I had with the analytical community, to ask me if I would go and help answer some of the questions that still remained so that we would better understand the situation."
Or is it this you are talking about?
BLITZER: All right. So at least you agree -- and I know you have in the past as well -- that the vice president never directly asked you to go or asked that anyone go, namely his staff just wanted some answers and it was the CIA's decision to then send -- dispatch -- someone to try to get some firsthand information?
WILSON: That's correct. And I've said that in my op-ed, and I've said it in an interview here, and I've said it every time since.
Yeah. Sounds like he was really contradicting himself.

If you believe Wilson just say that. I saw the interview and with 5 no's before an answer, that's stumbling. With inconsistencies from previous claims, that's stumbling. For someone who has never met Cheney, he sure was briefed a lot about what Cheney wanted.

Wilson is a pathological liar. And the New York Times, shrinking before our very eyes, will continue to carry his water, all for the sake of their party. And, this ought to be good for another 2-3 point drop in CNN's rating as well.

kausfiles.com has the most thorough coverage of this. All the e-mails, past history of jailed NY Times reporter, Judith Miller, and Prosecutor Fitzgerald.
Startling stuff --- documentation not seen in MSM - .

Yo, Tony, Johnny Sac is such a GabonLOL. I've never seen the Sopranos, but maybe calling someone a Gabon would be some sort of obscure reference to "Scarface Al" Gabone.

Son is presently getting advanced training in his specialty (for a month). He's still doing his Reserve drills.

I taped Gibson's "My Word" as I watched it, and then watched it again with my husband.
He was on fire! And was exactly right about the hypocrisy of the media with their treatment of Berger relative to Rove..............even used the word 'Dems.' LOL!

Out of curiosity, do you think Wilson has lied about any of his role in this leak?
Do you think Plame was covert or fit in the definition of covert as applied to the law?
Do you think Rove leaked the name?
Why do you act antagonistic on every post you participate on?
Is your mind so convinced one way that no matter what is produced as in evidence you can counter it?
I have no problem with people disagreeing but when that disagreement has no points other than to be antagonistic I would just prefer not discussing any matter with that person.
