This is a beautiful piece of research, and excellent analysis Joanie. THANK YOU!

We are in serious trouble and no one seems to be addressing the problem.

That's it in a nut shell. The USA is being sold down the river by their elected representatives..rom the Top on Down. And the "electeds" did not improve with a Republican Administration..they just changed names.

Actually...this is not a vanity at all. It is a well documented compilation meant to educate. If you have factual and documented refutation, please cite it.

As to the 1950's and 1960's nuclear tests in space (there were nine space tests I believe)...the types of components used in those years, both military and civilian, were not as suceptable to EMP damage as the discrete electronic compoinents we have come to abjectly rely on today. That is one reason why the impact back then was much more minimal than what it would be today.

Treat Red China the way Reagen treated and brought down the Soviet evil empire, and do it forthwith. It will be painful, but not nearly as painful as the consequences of failing to do so.

Amen, Jeff!

Yes they are, and that leg of our triad will certainly be in a positioon to give an overwhelimg response.

But the Chinese know this too and they will have taken that into account in their planning. If they can somehow protect or hide their leadership and protect some portion of their own infrastructure, they may be willing to lose several tens of millions.

I pray this is not the case...but know we had best be prepared. Their view and value of the lives of their citizenry is foreign and alien to us...they have proved it over and over again and may well be planning to do so again.

The movie, "HERO", the setting of which takes place in ancient China may provide a clue to modern China's plans of conquest. The photography is mesmerizing and well-worth watching. Listen to the dialog (English sub-titled) and it sounds like something right out of Marx or Islam. No world peace unless the world is under one ruler. The movie makes it clear that China will be that ruler. I made reference to the movie on another thread relating to China's nano-weapons program.

I am not familiar with the movie, but it sounds eerily prophetic. Will look into it. Many thanks.

I believe that if we encourage and help arm Taiwan, and if the Japanese make clear that they will not tolerate an armed take over of the ROC...along with S. Korea, Australia, and the Philipines...then we will be able to counter a move by the PRC. Those other nations, particularly the ROC, Japan, and S. Korea are already rapidly building up their navies to try and counter what the CHinese are doing.

We must remain strong, steadfast, and determined...and reliable in the region to our allies. If we let Taiwan go down without a fight, it will be clear to all that a new super power exists on the Pacific Rim and the other nations will begin to act accordingly.

If we act now to reverse our own trends and curtail those oif the Chinese, I believe we can yet avoid that tragedy (ie. losing Taiwan and the negative impact in Asia and world-wide)...but I am not sure at this point we can avoid a confrontation. I pray I am wrong.

THANK YOU for the link. I have it saved and intend to read it through as soon as I can set aside the time to devote some undivided attention to it.

Read about THIS. it is about a conventional version of the very same thing you have mentioned regarding the radical Islamics and the Red Chinese and was written as a warning of the same.

Is this a new production? or an older movie?

If it is older, where can I get it?

"Riots will ensue due to nobody knowing anything. No news will be panic news."

I have a still functioning '50's era tube radio...the case is made of bakelite. I'll be listening.

"BTW EMP is a real threat."

But I don't think we are slackers in that technology, are we? Isn't H.A.A.R.P. a ...uhh... 'multi-purpose facility'?

Certainly, any conflict with China isn't going to involve much in the way of a land war, so the condition of our ground troops isn't as much of an issue as some would make it.

I disagree. If the Chinese can effectively bluff us...or if they go through with it and both countries are severely impacted...their planning will have taken both options into account. They will move on Taiwan...and if successful...IMHO, on other areas in the region to secure the strategic points that will defend and assure the massive flow of resources they require. They will use ground troops to ensure this and protect it.

We will, ultimately, have to use gorund troops, to dislodge them if they ever "break out" They are showing all the signs and making all of the statements that indicate they plan on doing so.

All in parallel.

Would make no difference. If your equipment is nto shielded you are toast. The traces themselves in a curcuit board will couple enough energy to blow semiconductors.

I can see that, but that would probably be a containment issue rather than an actual clash of forces. We could conceivably (note that I am not necessarily recommending this course) use tactical nukes to erase their army without needing to get down and push them out. It might not even be us. Japan would almost certainly get embroiled in this, and they would have to rely almost entirely on technology for their response.

But, those bursts at 500km would have a proportionally larger radius on the ground (if they were strong enough) and say ten of them would in fact be severely debilitating to the nation as a whole. I believe that is the point.
