"I was driving past the Pentagon when that plane hit" Hey, if Bubba can see black churches burning, and be on the bus with Rosa Parks, and walk through Harlem when he was a student, then Begala can be driving past the Pentagon.
It's the thought that counts.

Frank defended his point, however, claiming that Republicans didn't see Hitler as a threat to America until Pearl Harbor. He repeated the Democratic criticism of America's invasion of Iraq. Saddam Hussein "was a horrible (sic), a dictator, a butcher, a tyrant, a mass murderer -- as evil as they come," Frank said, but he added: "I don't think he was a threat to the U.S. at the time." Doesn't Thomas Frank see the inconsistencies in his logic? Try to follow this:
WWII was OK, and horrible mass murderer Hitler was a threat, even though he had not directly attacked the United States.
Iraq is not OK, and horrible mass murderer Saddam was not a threat, because he had not directly attacked the United States.

Begala is absolutely correct.
In fact, I long for the good old days of 1865, when proud, victorious Republicans knew how to deal properly with the eternally treasonous, evil democrats. Note the early version of Barbara Boxer swinging on the left side of the gallows.

I seriously believe the RINO phenomena is bigger than we'd all like to admit.
I seriously know the RINO phenomena is bigger then most believe.
The reason many won't admit is that they are RINOs themselves.

Mr. Begala, lay down the crack pipe and back away slowly.

The same guy who claimed Bubba lied to him about Lewinsky then defended his actions as just another dirty job to save the nation's valuable president.

"A panel discussion entitled 'Winning the War of Ideas...'"
ROFLMAO! That panel doesn't have ONE idea between them all, let alone enough ammo to wage a war, LOL!
What's that saying, "Don't bring an empty noggin to a War of Ideas?"

I often "improve" titles yet this one said more than I could.

OK. We seem to be on the same page about the RINO's. So, why is it true conservatives have such a hard time gaining seats in the Senate and voting their conscience?

Thanks for that advice Dean Wormer!

I don't know, but it is extremely discouraging.
I used to work for a true conservative Congresswoman who voted her conscience.

'The Clinton administration's national security efforts involved the right blend of "experience" and "strength," Begala said...'
Oh yeah. That is why the hijackers were able to plan 9/11 during the Clintoon Admin in the first place (not to mention the first WTC bombing, the embassy bombing, and the US Cole)...becauses Clintoon had the "right blend of 'experience' and 'strength.' People died because of that and now Begala is touting it. Disgusting.

To paraphrase David Warner in
Time Bandits,
"Oh Begala, dear Begala, you're so mercifully free from the ravages of intelligence."

We were just hoping that he would cross Hillary.

Bubba's strength was not in his head mind.

Of course, if a Republicans had said "Democrats want to kill us", the MSM would be all over that person demanding an apology and running polls asking if he should be fired/impeached, etc.

Certain issues have been causing dysfunction in his life, he obviously needs a college psych for proper therapy.
