Yesterday 13th July 2005 Vice President Dick Cheney swore in US Ambassador to NATO at the State Department

Today he and the Attorney General Alberto Gonzales will be handing out the awards to Capts. Phillip Atwood and Patrick Martin firefighters from Kansas City who have been awarded the Public Safety Medal of Valor along with some of their other colleagues The men are being recognized for helping to save paramedic Mary Seymour, who was shot by a sniper during a standoff on Feb. 23, 2004. Police, firefighters and paramedics were responding to reports of an explosion and came under heavy fire shortly after arriving at the scene. The Medal of Valor is the highest award a civilian can receive from the federal government

Thank you for your kind thoughts glad to hear you are all OK. Dad maybe home tomorrow he has been hospitalised for a few days I will go into more detail later. Hope to visit mum tomorrow but may not happen.
