13 July 2005: Britain is seeking the special assistance of the Indian government to deal with Asian Islamic terrorism, and relations are also being strengthened with Spain and France to combat North African terrorism.
Diplomats said that Britain is also actively considering creating a US homeland security-type department, and a bill will be brought for this in the British Parliament soon, and as part of a new anti-terror regime, following the London bombings last week, mosques will be compulsorily registered, and visitors to them would have to reveal their identities.
Maybe UK should do some soul-searching first and answer why it
1. Supported Pakistan against India for 50 years,
2. Allowed all kinds of anti-India groups to operate freely
3. Told India to shove off when India complained
Heres a hint, limeys:
Stop letting in every whacky Paki imam who wants in.
Wanna stop terror attacks??? Prevent any new morons of paki or middle -eastern origin from entering th4e country and deport those pakis already in there
Answers:
1 - India's status as client of the Soviet Union
2 - India's status as client of the Soviet Union
3 - India's status as client of the Soviet Union
Nations have no permanent friends or enemies, only permanent national interests. Now that we have common interests, we pursue them together.
We welcome India into the arena of democratic nations. Please stay.
Unfortunately, the term "Asian" is somethimes applied indiscrimately in Britain to all people from the sub-continent. The Hindu element has been extraordinarily successful in Britain, both in business and academia. The same cannot be said of the Moslem Pakistani element. India, soon the world's most populous nation, can be a strong and willing ally of the west in the struggle against Islamic terrorism.
>> Britain is seeking the special assistance of the Indian government to deal with Asian Islamic terrorism
>> Britain is seeking the special assistance of the Indian government to deal with Pakistani Islamic terrorism
There.
This all but implies that the ISI are (rightfully!) suspected!
Bump!
Yes, one news items lost in the cascade has been that of the Pakistani arrested at an UKairport with a map detailing the blast locations on his way out of the country.
That is key, IMO.
Actually, it was Benjamin Disraeli. Another good quote of his: "Great services are not canceled by one act or by one single error."
nope -- India was close to the US and the UK during the Eisenhower and Kennedy administrations. It was only when Johnson got impressed by the Pakis and Nixon decided to support Pakistan against India (and tried to persuade CHina to attack India) that India moved into the Soviet union's orbit. It wasn't a client state of the USSR either. It considered and still considers Russia as an ally -- for very good reasons: both border China and neither borders each other: the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
I guess the LBJ corollary would be: "Great errors are not canceled by one act or by one single service."
Buzzzzzzzz!!!!!
All three are wrong answers!
Q. 1. Supported Pakistan against India for 50 years,
Wrong answer: 1 - India's status as client of the Soviet Union
Correct answer: 1 - They supported Pakistan ever since independence(at a time when India had nothing to do with Soviet Union) since they(British) created Pakistan.
Q. 2. Allowed all kinds of anti-India groups to operate freely
Wrong answer: 2 - India's status as client of the Soviet Union
Correct answer: 2 - The allowed many other Islamic groups (including anti-Ireali groups) to operate freely out of their own folly (again nothing to do with Soviet Union).
Q. 3. Told India to shove off when India complained
Wrong answer: 3 - India's status as client of the Soviet Union
Correct answer: 3 - The Po faced Poms have been telling India to shove off ever since independence because they cant get over the fact that we are no more the "jewel in Crown" (again nothing to do with Soviet Union).
And pleez dont shove that "Soviet Union" on our face whenever the sh*t hits the fan above you. And please spare us the "welcome".......you sound as if we became democratic just yesterday.
Me sez...... let Britain deal with its own crap and get its own house in order first. And then show some support for us in Kashmir (and stop supporting the Pakis) and then we will consider giving whatever help they need.
I guess European finesse has not worked well in assimilating Muslims into the Western society. Intellectuals mostly reading Guardian/Independent have another thing they need to steadfastly ignore to maintain their sanctimonious ideology, which may be much harder than Bush-bashing.
The Brits assumed that by allowing Muslims a free-run to carry on their activities in distant parts of the globe from their soil, they can gain their favours. They could play nice with the Muslims (Pakis) and also "advice" us on how we should be handling our internal problems.
And for quite sometime the Brits used these Khalistani, Kashmiri and Pakistani groups as proxies to meddle in our regional disputes...... couldnt get over the fact that we are no more their colonies.
....And now their pharisaical stuff has turned on them.
Just look at how their media refers to the bombers as "Asians" as opposed to Pakistanis.
Asians?? Yeah riiiight! Ever heard of a Hindu or a Sikh "bomber" bombing London?
