London Bombing Further Proof We're Winning - (author sees the bright side)
CHRONWATCH.COM ^ | JULY 12, 2005 | EVAN SAYET

There are two ways to look at the bombings in London -- just as there are two ways to look at the misdeeds at Abu Gharaib last year and the interrogation practices of our soldiers at Guantanamo Bay.

To the Democrats, who seek America’s defeat in the war against Islamic fascist terror, these things are to be seen as tools to be used to bludgeon America and Americans into submission. To me they are only further proof of how great America is and how obvious it is that we are winning the war against the evil murderers.

When I see the likes of the bloated Ted Kennedy -- recognizing, of course, that more people have died in Kennedy’s car than at Guantanamo Bay -- attacking America because a handful of night guards at the Abu Gharaib prison for the most vicious and vile of human scum put panties on the terrorists’ heads, I recognize that if this is all he can point to to try and undermine America’s will to defend itself then the nearly one million American and coalition forces that have rotated in and out of Iraq over the past two years must be so unbelievably exemplary that my affection for America only grows.

If the worst that Democratic Party Senator Dick Durbin can find in his efforts to paint Americans as Nazis is that the air conditioning wasn’t turned up in an interrogation cell for suspected terrorists caught trying to kill the “infidel” Americans, then our treatment of the terrorists must be absolutely fantastic.

And if the best the terrorists can do four years after 9/11 is pull off a couple of lame bombings on a subway or a train somewhere then obviously we’re doing something right. After all, remember that during the Clinton years the terrorists were massacring people all the time and in spectacular fashion – and with utter impunity! They murdered Americans in the World Trade Center in 1993 and in the Khobar Towers and they massacred Americans (and others, including Moslems) when they completely destroyed two US embassies in Africa and they nearly sunk an American warship -- the USS Cole.

Four years after 9/11—aside from the pathetic and desparate kidnappings in Iraq—the Islamic fascists haven’t succeeded in attacking America -- or a single American interest -- anywhere in the world!

To those who wish to use anything to attack America (I mean the Democrats in this case, not the terrorists) the bombings in London are “proof” of our defeat. To me, that’s a claim exactly as accurate – and for exactly the same purpose -- as the Democratic Party’s number two in command, Durbin’s, attempts to portray American soldiers as “Nazis.” In reality this pitiful terrorist tantrum in London is only further proof that America is winning the war against the Islamic fascist terrorists and, as usual, that the Democrats are on the side of our enemies.

Do you remember this from when National Lampoon was a magazine?

If Ted Kennedy drove a Volkswagen, he'd be President today

It floats.

The way our body is built, we'd be surprised if it didn't. The sheet of flat steel that goes underneath every Volkswagen keeps out water, as well as dirt and salt and other nasty things that can eat away at the underside of a car. So it's watertight at the bottom. And everybody knows it's easier to shut the door on a Volkswagen after you've rolled down the window a little.

That proves it's practically airtight on top. If it was a boat, we could call it the Water Bug. But it's not a boat, it's a car.

And, like Mary Jo Kopechne, it's only 99 and 44/100 percent pure. So it won't stay afloat forever. Just long enough. Poor Teddy. If he'd been smart enough to buy a Volkswagen, he never would have gotten into hot water.

Don't know if it is fair to call the bombings "lame." They are hardly lame to the families of those who died.

I believe July 19th is the anniversary of Bloated Ted's murder of Mary Jo. Do you suppose the MSM will post an article announcing that historical fact. Let's hope somebody gets the word out that this treasonous US Senator gets some of what he likes to dish out.
This might be worthy of a thread Char.
