1st thing is ask if he is armed
Why does the vast majority of Islam remain silent when innocents are slaughtered?
or find some quotes in the koran about how it's ok to kill infidels and ask him how he interprets these passages.
Point out that maybe it means both, but the Koran definitely says it is the former. So ask him: how can we tell whena Muslim says: "jihad" he means the latter, not the former.
Ask him what the lumps are around his waist and why there are wires protruding from his robe.
first find a reformed body then leave!
Muslims come in different sects just like Christians. It's going to be like asking a Baptist what the Mormons are doing.
Ask him why there is enough religion in the world to incite war, and not enough religion to instill peace.
Here's what I was told by an Iranian Muslim -- what's located in the center at Mecca is the alter on which the sacrifice required by Abraham was to be made. The alter was moved to Mecca? I didn't ask a lot of questions. At the time (pre 9/11) I only had a passing interest in the story, so I wouldn't bet the farm on all of it ... but I do know the building in the center of Mecca is connected to Abraham.
My concern is cultures have myths they live by -- myths that get incorporated in ways that aren't challenged. And near absolute authority is one of those... Each Imam has the power to sentence a person to death. This doesn't exist in modern religions. When UBL wanted permission to nuke the US, he didn't have to get "permission" beyond the equivalent of a parish priest. Frightening. It implies worse.
Too many ideas have gone unchallenged in the middle east - and within their xenophobic cultures, it's fine, well, fine until they come in contact with others. Then it's deadly. Lots of puzzle pieces to be put together - but this I know -- understanding the enemy opens up one more level we can fight them on...
What is the policy of Islam towards apostates? And if they renounce Islam for a second time, what is the policy then?
The Koran says it is acceptable (or is it recommended?) to mislead and lie to infidels. Does he agree with this? Are you (and the rest) unclean and therefore can be lied to about intentions?
What is jihad? It'll make him uncomfortable, but if he says self improvement, then you can ask "Why does the news refer to the war as a Jihad? I don't understand."
Assuming that he's an American Muslim, ask him if he agrees that it's okay to shoot at American troops in Iraq.
If Mohammad is greater than Christ, can you name one miracle ever did?
Make him squirm right away.
Ask if Jews have a right to exist and practice their religion?
Ask why it's ok to burn Bibles in Saudi Arabia- and allow NO other religion- but it's not ok if the West does it?
Ask if the regular everyday Muslim would mind if Islam took over the world as the result of terrorism? Do they really have a problem with the 'means' if the 'end' is what they want?
Ask how they can be a 'good Muslim' if they don't follow the Koran in killing all infidels.
If he's not out the door with the first one, he won't last long.
Right in front of the ladies, ask him how many virgins are suitable for his eternal pleasure.
Why is it that for a Muslim to achieve his fullest potential in the sciences, arts, or medicine, he must leave the Muslim world?
Why is Christianity not tolerated in many Muslim countries? It is illegal in those countries to open a new church, for example, or seek new adherents, in order for the religion to die off.
Why is it that pretty much anyone can claim to be an imam and speak for the entire Muslim world, and people take him seriously?
If Islam is such a marvelous religion, philosphy, and way of life, why are there so many Islamic countries (as opposed to a single massive Muslim Utopia), and why do those countries fight such bloody wars with each other?
Why isn't there an Islamic satellite, space probe, or capacity for space launch?
Why are defenders of the Islamic faith so fond of quoting that there are "1.2 billion" of them? If there really are so many, how can the Muslim world be so backward?
How can Muslims claim to fear the West as "Crusaders", suggesting some sort of historical consciousness, yet be entirely ignorant of the Muslim role in provoking the Crusades?
Still thinking...maybe more later...
