Prayer Needs: TexasFlower has passed away
Posted on 07/09/2005 5:51:44 PM PDT by texanforbush
Hi ~ I wanted to let you know that my dear sister, Tammy, passed away unexpectedly on June 30th. She had gastric bypass surgery on June 27, came home from the hospital on June 29th and passed away in the early morning hours of June 30th.
I'm not exactly sure of Tammy's username (something like "texaswarriorprincess") Tammy often talked about her involvement in this site and our family felt we should notify you of her death.
We lost our Dad in October, 2004. I know Tammy shared the news w/ you of my Dad voting prior to his death. He voted from the back of an ambulance while in hospice care.
We are shocked and deeply saddened by her sudden death. She is survived by our Mom, 2 sisters, one brother, and her two daughters.
Please pray for our family.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I spoke with Texasflower many times on this forum and she was always friendly and articulate.
May God bless and comfort you and all of Tammy's family and may Tammy rest in peace.
She will be missed.

Prayers for your family. God is cradling her in His arms. We'll miss her, but I'm betting she's reading this site in Heaven.

I only "met" Texasflower once on this forum when we wrote a couple of freepmails back and forth after I saw the photo of her dad on her profile page. She truly is a Texasflower and I'll always remember her. She will live forever, I'm certain of that.

I last contact I had with her personally by freep mail was a request to design a personal birthday card for you. Snugs, thank you for telling me that. I had no idea. Your card is very special to me (I look at it every day), but it's even more special now that I know Tammy also had a hand in creating it. Thank you so much.

How very thoughtful of you to think of your sister's friends here at FR at this time of unimaginable sadness for you. I thank you for this VERY sad & VERY shocking news.
Your sister became a cyber friend.. not only on the threads but in our team (Rapid Response Team) before the election & she was one of my thread photo assistants on the Fine Mind Threads that I did until my computer died in Jan O5 and the ping lists/work all disappeared.
she sent wonderful and clever political & misc humorous emails. She seemed to really love life, although seemed very busy with work/family. I had hoped to visit her in Texas when I drove to OK to see my brother & took a "swing" down there.
Your sisters story/pictures she posted on your dads support of our president & his voting at the board elections just hours prior to his death was in inspiration to so many of us.
There are no easy answers and no quick fixes at times like this. Her presence with your dad & our Lord is a given.. but somehow that does not fill the empty hole in your heart and soul at this point.
Again, I DO THANK YOU for sharing this tragic information with us. I did post a note on the Dose (A day in LIfe of President) and sent out to the other members of the rapid response team.
God Bless you dear and we will be praying for you ALL during this most difficult time.
Please do visit the Dose where your sister "hung out" among other places. It will be good for you & us if you don't mind sharing there in days ahead.. (or finish up on this thread)

I'm shocked and so sorry to hear about this. Tammy was way too young. Prayers for her and her children, and for your family.

My heartfelt condolences. Tammy's recount of your dad voting in the back of an ambulance is one of the great FR posts of all time. What a patriotic family. God bless and comfort you all.
