Looking at the satellite photos, it really is a beautiful storm.
Of course, it's not so beautiful when you think about the damage it will do.

Roswell, GA...7:50 PM only very light rain...but have heard thunder for the past hour....
Checking Radar...the first storm bamcs appear to be heading just west of Atlanta.

That's not a big graphic. I'd post a big graphic to show you the difference, but then I'd get yelled at.

I worked at La Fountain's Wharf for a short time in the mid 60's as a dishwasher. I was in high school at the time. I literally couln't take it.
To this day that was the hardest job I have ever had.

We're experiencing the top bands now, here in central Georgia. All the way up to Atlanta.

But, the main reason I'm still here is that there is nothing like feeling the hand and breath of God himself. It ain't Dennis'If you're near the water and get hit head on with a Cat 4 or 5, you may be feeling the "literal" hand and breath of God.
How secure is your home?

ruh roh..I'll probably get yelled at for my sat picture now. LOL
Current conditions - Montgomery, AL -- feeder band passe through about 30-45 min ago. Heavy Rain, vivid Lightning. Now just a light drizzle, light winds, feels like a Sauna outside. Should be a few hours before the next band comes through according to the radar.
