Just Reported! I-912 has turned in a total of approx. 420,000 signatures to the Sec. of State. That's more then 12,000 signatures a day since it got started with NO paied signature gatherers!
(say it again with feeling)
They will cook something up the tax payer must not have a voice.
Yes, our legislature follows the will of the people so well here.
Just like here in Kaleefornia!
No $hit.
Not this time. They already did everything they could. Passed the bill at the end of the session, put an emergency clause on it so we couldn't have a referendum, tried to stall the initiative in court, etc.
They don't have any outs. The only thing they can do is try to pass it again next year, but I don't think ANY legislator outside of Freemont would be safe if they did that. They arent that stupid.
I suppose so, but it's not gonna be hard.
If they throw $50,000,000 against it, they might keep it below 60%. They can't beat it.
We're taking our state back!
Take that GregGore, you bitch.
After 1,678 ILLEGAL votes, the ugly old crone is NOT my Governor!
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
A. They probably will, actually. KC is goofy.
B. Doesn't matter. The other counties will be easily 60-40 for repealing it, usually more.
The truth is, that when you have asked in initiative form, if the voters wanted lower taxes, they have voted yes EVERY SINGLE TIME, with the exception of one initiative that cut taxes through allowing more slot machines in off-reservation Casino's so the religious right voted against it. But when it is a straight up tax cut, the voters have ALWAYS voted yes. in modern history.
This will pass easily. It'll pass 65-35 if the groups decide not to fight it, it'll still pass with well over 55% of the vote if they do fight it.
