[history]
July 7, 2005 U.S. authorities tell ABC News that British police have recovered two unexploded bombs from the scene of the terror attacks in London.
In addition, British investigators say that parts of timing devices have been recovered from the blast scene that would have been used to detonate an explosive device. This could provide evidence that would help determine who was behind the attacks, sources told ABC News.

After they collect the evidence from them and fix them up, they should attach one of them to George Galloway's Jaguar. Hmmmm...I like it.

They seem to have this "pause for result" (distraction) mentality in all cases and while you're looking that way, they're working another area. I agree because of mo, Madrid is a closer comparable.

UXB is specific to air-dropped ordinance. That's what the show was about. British Army engineers disarming ordnance dropped by German bombers during the blitz. Great show. It was on PBS as a run of "Masterpiece Theater" in 1979.

Cue up Twilight Zone theme music; Rod Serling spins to face the camera and, in that inimitable clipped delivery of his, tells us: "Be afraid. Be very afraid!"
Yoiks!!

Pardon, but if you want to find UXB, dig a hole in Berlin.
Carefully.

Homicide bomber is the right phrase. The intent was too kill other people. It's only a suicide bomber if the individual takes special care to detonate out of the range of other people who might be injured. Homicide is the intent and the result of today's bombings.

Pick a place - Saudi Arabia, Iran, Sudan, Kosovo, Chechnia. Place the packages in a crate and drop them with half a million pounds of ordinance. The fact is that these bomnbings probably had more to do with the fugly imam going on trial then it had to do with any particular country.

Armoured Cats.Cool. I think the Israelis introduced one of those to Rachel Corrie a while back.

indeed.
undetonated ordnance will yield quite a bit of intel.
hopefully enough to roll up this cell.
doubtful, that, but possible, and helpful towards that eventual goal.

"They will not have died in vain." You have to know that the freaky DUers and other conspiracy are going to say, "that sounds like we did it to re-unify the war on terror"
I know what her intent was and it was honorable, but her choice of words could have been better. The Londoners did die in vain. They were not soldiers on the front. They should not have faced death by these jackals. The only positive that can come out of this is that it will stiffen world resolve, before something bigger and worse happens.
