Officials: Unexploded Devices Discovered in London

July 7, 2005 — U.S. authorities tell ABC News that British police have recovered two unexploded bombs from the scene of the terror attacks in London.

In addition, British investigators say that parts of timing devices have been recovered from the blast scene that would have been used to detonate an explosive device. This could provide evidence that would help determine who was behind the attacks, sources told ABC News.

It's a British Government restriction. We got an internal email at work which informed us that there'll be no more wireless calls to the UK until further notice.

I guess the Brits are preventing any cell-triggered bombs and disrupting terrorist communications.

I thought that at first too. But someone on TV suggested today that it was probably planned that way. That they counted on people fleeing the subways and jumping on buses, so they hit a bus too, to increase the "terror."

The "new technology" is called shutting down the network. It would take less than a minute to shut the networks down if such an emergency had been planned for.

There were two separate warnings about Victoria Station. The first was a bomb threat, the second was for a suspicious package. Maybe that did turn out to be something after all.
