GROUP CLAIMS ATTACKS
Sky News ^ | July 7, 2005 | Staff

A terror group linked to al Qaeda says it carried out a series of terror attacks on London that have left a number of people dead and hundreds injured.

A previously unknown group calling itself "Secret Organisation al Qaeda in Europe" said it carried out the attacks as revenge for British "military massacres" in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Two London hospitals have reported a total of 185 wounded after a series of blasts hit locations across the city on buses and Tube stations.

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair said there was evidence of explosives at at least two of the six sites.

Scotland Yard has denied reports they were warned of an attack by Israel minutes before the blasts.

Two people have been confirmed dead and at least 90 people injured in the explosion at Aldgate Station.

Prime Minister Tony Blair, issued a joint statement from all the leaders at the G8 summit.

"This is not an attack on one nation - it's an attack on all nations and civilised people everywhere," he said.

"It's important however that those engaged in terrorism realise that our determination to defend our values and way of life is greater than their determination to cause death and destruction to innocent people."

Witness, Angie, saw the bus explode in Russell Square. She said: "There were a whole lot of people around the bus. Next thing I was on the floor and there were a lot of people on me.

"I thought I was going to be crushed. The bus was ripped out at the back. It must have been a bomb."

The entire Tube network has been shut down and police have confirmed blasts at four sites: Russell Square and King's Cross Underground; Moorgate, Aldgate, and Liverpool Street Underground; Edgware Road Underground; and Tavistock Square where there has been a confirmed explosion on a bus.

One witness said the packed underground train he was on was 200 metres from King's Cross when there was a huge flash.

The train stopped and people were using umbrellas to smash windows of the trains. Passengers were led out of the train by underground staff.

He added people were milling around King's Cross covered in soot.

It's time to start working on the terrorists support system. Kill'em all!

I can picture how it is there at the moment...there are probably a lot of people walking. If I was still working in London, I would probably be walking home from my office. Traffic is likely at a standstill, police are probably out, and all there is to do is walk under overcast skies to home.

Tomorrow the hour of revenge will come. For now, it's time for the city to gather its wits.

Regards, Ivan

Our prayers are with you.
I hope the Brits and Yanks truly show these animals what hell truly looks like.
I want to be the first Westerner to organize a street dance the day we bomb Mecca out of existance.
Stay safe.

"Finally maybe we can get serious."

I fear the show of solidarity is similar to the 9/11 response. They're all with us, until we try to fight.

To heck with political correctness... to heck with racial profiling. If you are muslim, you are my enemy, whether it be in the US, Great Britian, or anywhere.

Heres a question you can ask the liberals.

Why would Al Queda attack London if there is no connection between them and Iraq??
I mean whats it to Al Q if the Brits are in Iraq?...there isn't any connection.

Really, I'm fine. I just am concerned that my train home is likely to not be operational.

Not just Britain, but worldwide--including the appeasers, who can never appease enough to suit these rotters. The sooner people realize this, the sooner we can really set to work on fighting the war on terror.

Meanwhile over at Dem Underground they are already blaming Bush and Blair and asking how this is different than the war in Iraq. The enemy within is just as worrisome as the Al Q. cells, to me. Dummies Spout

Why not target ALL islamic cities and wreck havoc upon them. Force is the only response the raghead will cave in to. Show them no mercy and blast them back into the dark ages. Take no prisioners!!!

This is how terrorism works. They succeed in Spain, they try the same thing again. And if it works in Britain, they will try it again somewhere else. You go along with their demands, they kill again to see if it will work again. The way to deal with them is to be steadfast and say, YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE.

So we bury them, reverently smeared in lard. It only affects HOW we bury them, not whether.

A screen grab shows a statement posted on an Islamist web forum by the previously unknown
Al-Qaeda-linked group, 'The Organisation of Al-Qaeda Jihad in Europe', claiming the July 7,
2005 attacks in London. A group calling itself the 'Organisation of Al-Qaeda Jihad in Europe'
has claimed responsibility for the attacks in London and threatened similar ones in Italy,
Denmark and other countries with troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.(AFP/HO)

but I fear this will mark the end of British involvement in Iraq. The gutless left will go the way of Spain i fear.

There is about the same chance of that happening as of the U.S "going the way of Spain". In other words, none at this time.

The terrorists struck at us too early. They should have waited at least another decade if they expected the left to have had us properly softened up for negotiation and surrender.

If I am wrong you can ping me and gloat. I'll have died from shock, though, so I won't get the message.

Ivan,

My thoughts and prayers are for you and your fellow countrymen and women. I hope this attack only serves to unite our countries and make us both stronger.

In the immortal words of Churchill, "Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never--in nothing, great or small, large or petty--never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."

May the Lord bless you all and help you recover quickly.
