Just hearing Feinstein set up the delay tactic. She doesn't want to be intimidated into a hasty decision. They want plenty of time to Bork the candidate. O'Connor can stay on the Court until we confirm someone. GOOD GRIEF.

The gang of 14 and Democrats may claim their agreement did not include the SC, but the public believes it because the media never bothered to correct the impression.

It has less to do with political affiliation and more to do with judicial philosophy. Conservative judges favor greater adherence to letter of the law, i.e., the Constitution, and not legislating from the bench. Liberals prefer judicial activists who "interpret" the Constitution and apply it to issues, which can't be won through the legistlative process.

In defense of Andrea, if you had to wake up every morning next to Alan Greenspan, your worldview would "suck" also..

...and if you woke up to Andrea, how would your day go?--:)

I hope he is.
Snow has one of the toughest time slots there is 9-12 Eastern. Mike Gallagher, Neal Boortz, and the fastest growing one of all, IMHO, Laura Ingraham. That 9-12 audience gets really split up. I think Glen Beck(is Liddy still around) is on then too and a host of others. Tough time slot.

It does not matter what the Gang of 14 believe that they agreed to. They will not hold together, and Senator Frist is still in charge. I look for and pray for a serious smackdown of McCain this summer, if he tries to go mano a mano with Frist.

onlu logical conclusion is that 85% of his audience are Freepers...we should all stop watching ..totally..his ratings would plummet..

I think a lot of us watch (I know I do) to just keep an eye on the "enemy" so to speak. Forewarned is forearmed or something like that. I just love it when he has to liberal lefties and all 3 just hammer GWB. Chris thinks it's good TV but even KO is beating him in the ratings now.

Steve, a Dim 'strategist' on FNC was just on w Fred Barnes - he said the following, which I've also heard this week:

6) Bush can't/shouldn't nominate right-wing extremists (such as Lettwig)

7) Bush needs to follow the constitution and get advice (and approval) from the Dim Senators [note: they keep twisting the constitution - it's advise and consent (e.g., up and down vote) - not pre-approval]

8) The Senate needs to quit 'rubber-stamping' everything the President wants [note: I don't recall the Senate rubber-stamping anything the Pres wanted - -he's had to fight to get everything through the Senate]

Mitchell was absolutely awful - a disgrace, as bad as any of the liberal hacks, and I say that - as my tagline suggests - as a regular viewer of Katie Couric & Co.

Hagel: "Well, we don't have enough Troops, but I'm not sure that we should send more, but ehrr umma, we are clearly paying the ones we have too much money...

The Senate does not need to be in session, for the committe hearings to proceed.

I saw that segment and thought it was the one of the most hilarious skits I had ever seen. Great TV.

This Nan Aron of the "Alliance for Justice" is extraordinarily dumb. She wants people on the SC who will move the country forward. This is a lawyer. She should not be allowed in the same room with Boyden Grey.
