Iranian Alert - July 2, 2005 - Iranians overwhelmingly favorable of United States

THE hottest book in Iran these days is Bill Clinton's "My Life." There are three unauthorized translations on the market and at least two more on the way, Iranian newspapers report. By all accounts, a George W. Bush memoir might do just as well. And that is only the most recent indication of the overwhelmingly favorable disposition of the Iranian population toward the United States.

Iran's New Leader Suspected in '89 Attack

Austrian authorities have classified documents suggesting that Iran's president-elect may have played a key role in the 1989 execution-style slayings of an Iranian Kurdish leader and two associates in Vienna, a newspaper reported Saturday.

Austria's Interior Ministry and the public prosecutor's office are investigating alleged evidence pointing to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's possible involvement in the attack, the daily Der Standard reported. READ MORE

I know, but far too many people simply don't know what's going on. So many of us Americans lump Iran in with the radical Arabs without understanding that Iran is a Persian Nation. The leadership in Iran and those who are loyal to them deserve every insulting post we can throw at them.

I was one of them who did just that. I didn't know anything about Iran, and after 9/11....well...
BUT it was here at FR, on these Iranian threads, that my eyes were opened to the truth. Educating folks so that they understand what is REALLY going on over there is the answer. I really appreciate these daily threads, and say THANKS to all who make them happen!
