Hearing on Fox News
You know... that is the track record. I tend to agree with you. I would love to be proven wrong here. In fact I'm praying that I'm wrong.... but I think you're right.
I was right :0)
" AL GONZALES WILL NOT DO!WE must have a conservative!"
I agree!! MSM is already saying Gonzales is on the short list and they list his name first. grrrrrrrrr
what about F. Lee Bailey??? hehe
Yahooo!!! Let the games begin. This is going to be mere fun than a barrel of monkeys!
LimpFrist- That's perfect.
Bush statement at 11:15, no announcement of replacement at that time.
His nominations have been sub par.Very few Scalias or Borks.
I am with you -- the naysayers are out once again today -- why deal with facts when you can spin like the RATs?
Social conservatives always seem to have their bags packed at the ready, threatening to split if they don't get their way.
Far as I am concerned, walk now and avoid the prolonged goodbyes. If social conservatives want to destroy our best hope of turning this country around by demanding that all things go their way, it is lost anyway.
I am mad already and the nom hasn't been made.
Ditto.
I am sure the have been expecting two retirements for some time now.
I agree with you; you're fears are valid. Bush and the Senate Pubs have had a miserable record with all things conservative...it's hard to believe we have a majority in both houses - we've nothing to show for it.
BIG TIME DITTO
If you're suggesting we should be happy with a pro-choice moderate, I disagree.
We will support the President's pick if he chooses the kind of judge he promised when we elected him.
And I think he will.
There's no precedent to expect disappointment?? John McTraitor is licking his chops.....egomaniac boy better fall in line. As a Naval Aviator, I'm very disappointed in one of my own.
At the time of Bork's nomination there were many Republican senators who were adamantly opposed to having Bork on the court -- mainly because his role in the Watergate affair indicated a lack of principle, an excess of political ambition, or both.
Oops, I thought that was a Judicial Robe.
My criticism is the constant threat of the social conservatives to pack their bags and abandon this president if they don't get their way.
Many freepers are conservative but not social conservatives,,they don't admit it here because they get turned on by fellow freepers.
