In the continuing Age of Clinton, liberal employers can dismiss conservative employees acting on their own time to promote traditional values. One can be fired for anything in the private sector, but the employers sometimes face consequences for such unjust actions. Paying the man unemployment comp, for instance, was understandable under the circumstances. One cannot make his views known to the public if they are at odds with his liberal employers if he still wants to work for the liberal company.
If it's illegal to discriminate against those with homosexual attraction, it should be illegal against those who in their private capacity express opposition to homosexual activity on religious or moral grounds.

I feel his pain. The hospital where I work has a bulletin board in the rotunda celebrating Gay and Lesbian month. I have been there four years and have never seen anything celebrating heterosexual month.
This is how they silence people. They go after their livelihood.
We are protected from the government for our political speech but not from a private employer.
See ya Allstate....my $3000 yearly auto and homeowner's insurance premiums will be looking elsewhere.
Does anyone have the number for that lizard company?
Or better yet, an insurance company that TRULY embraces and upholds traditional Christian values?

Wasn't aware of their policies and contributions. Anyone know of another insurance company that is comparable but does not support these groups? Definitely time to switch!

Allstate just told us our homeowner's insurance would not be renewed in 2006. Hurricane Ivan's scared them off.........good.......

I have Allstate for my car and the home I currently own (unless someone wants to bulldoze it, but that's another thread). I do not think it will do any good to switch. They're almost certainly all the same...
