Look into Farm Bureau.
More than that, Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act prohibits religious discrimination and has been held to require employers to make "reasonable accommodation" to employees' religious practices. It looks like Mr. Barber has a strong case here, especially because there is no Federal law prohibiting discharge of homosexual employees for their sexual orientation.
This is outrageous.
Wake up conservatives! We are worrying about private accounts in social security, free trade, and flag burning. Meanwhile, the left is busy indoctrinating and intimidating the entire culture into its decadent worldview. They pretend to have the high moral ground, while those of us who stand for what's right, are forced to cower in shame.
If we lose this battle, the flag won't be worth saving from the flames.
US Corporations are NOT the pro-Republican, conservative places that the liberal media make them out to be. I work for a large Fortune 500 company and it's 'tolerance and diversity' this and that all the time. Of course, that means supporting racial discrimination against white males and sodomy among men. It's totally disgusting.
"Here at Allstate we have a very diverse community...and becoming less diverse all the time! (thanks to our indoctrinational re-education sessions and firing techniques!)
1950's
Someone who would go out of their way to harm or berate a homosexual.
1960's
Someone who may not harm a homosexual physically, but would mock or berate them.
1970's
Anyone who would take moral issue with homosexuality.
1980's
Anyone who has anything negative to say about homosexuality.
1990's
Anyone who is not vocally or politically supportive of homosexuality and homosexual issues.
Present
Anyone who is not a homosexual.
Maybe AllSTraight is hiring.
Gives a new meaning to the term "rear ended"!
That thought police are here - and they're pissed.
What's next...
We heard you tell a gay joke at the bar after you played 18 on Saturday - you're fired????
Highly irresponsible of MensNewsDaily, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't see litigation of some sort as well.
I'm glad to know this about Allstate, we'd actually been thinking of switching to them. Think that's probably a no-go at this point.
Mr. Liddy is CEO of Allstate.
