Don't talk to her like that again.

Posted on 06/21/2005 9:03:48 PM PDT by ConservativeMan55

Don't talk to her like that again.

Those were the words of Fox and Friends host Brian Kilmeade. A debate had been scheduled between Debra Burlingan and Richard Tofel.

Debra's brother was killed on 9-11. The debate was over the freedom center. Tofel is the director of the International freedom center.

Tofel was clearly outmatched by Debra. She won every argument. Tofel appeared to be very secretive. After the debate was over and the segment ended Tofel walked up to Debra.

Debra was very emotional at this point. Her eyes had already filled with tears. Tofel walked up to Debra and patted her on the back and said "Nice Try"

Kilmeade followed Tofel back to the dressing room and physically got in the man's face. "You are totally inappropriate. And you will not be talking to her like that again. Do not touch her again"

Tofel refused to leave the building acting like a small child. He was eventually escorted out.

Many folks are outraged because the center is going to be used for left wing propaganda. According to the International Freedom Center's Web site, the museum will "deal with the international impact of September 11," as well as such issues as segregation in America and the Holocaust.

"It doesn't belong at a memorial," said Charles Wolf, whose wife, Katherine, died in the World Trade Center collapse. "You wouldn't put a debate about Nazism and authoritarianism at Dachau."

Center President Richard J. Tofel said that while the causes of the Sept. 11 attacks would not be up for debate, the center would not bar criticism of the United States and its actions.

I've decided Brian Kilmeade is my favorite FNC anchor. He's gutsy and principled, and anyone who can make sports even halfway interesting to someone like me is very talented. :o)

These people will learn a lesson when the next 9/11 occurs. America will remember who undermined the WOT and leftists will pay, dearly. I don't want to see it happen, but I know how this nation will react when we get hit again.

I am not a sissy, I pull off my black leather mechanics shoes and white socks from my scorched feet and slip my bare feet into my 15 year old USA made black loafers for the ride in my 71 Fiat Spider to the machine shop. I'm eccentric but no F'n sissy

Some 9/11 kin want freedom museum canceled

MICHAEL WEISSENSTEIN

Associated Press

NEW YORK - Family members of those killed at the World Trade Center are balking at plans to add a museum of freedom at ground zero, arguing it would allow politics to infect a place revered as sacred.

Relatives representing 14 family groups rallied at the site Monday to condemn plans for the International Freedom Center, which officials said would place the 2001 terror attacks in a historical context.

The center would be part of a cultural complex set to open in 2009 at the northeast end of the rebuilt trade center site. It would host discussions on historical and current events, exhibits on global freedom movements and a service program encouraging activities that could range from joining the Peace Corps to enlisting in the U.S. military.

"Part of the way we celebrate freedom is to acknowledge that even the greatest societies in the world and those that have made the greatest contribution to freedom are not perfect," he said.

The center's use of advisers that include some critics of U.S. policy has prompted criticism from conservative commentators in recent weeks.

Yeah I can't believe the guy would have the nerve to touch her.

I know, I'm so steamed. Debra is a Godsend. As busy as this lady is she still has offered support to our troops. If this guy had a heart he would realize that these families deserve to be able to rebuild lives rather than defend a loved ones memory from being cheapened by his leftist views.

The driving force behind the IFC is Tom Bernstein, an activist lawyer in the human rights movement. He has been a proud member of Human Rights First since it was founded, as the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights, 27 years ago, and has served as its president for the last 12.

It was Mr. Bernstein's organization, joined by the American Civil Liberties Union, that filed a lawsuit three months ago against Donald Rumsfeld on behalf of detainees in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It was Human Rights First that filed an amicus brief on behalf of alleged "dirty bomber" Jose Padilla, an American citizen who the Justice Department believes is an al Qaeda recruit. It was Human Rights First that has called for a 9/11-style commission to investigate the alleged torture of detainees, complete with budget authority, subpoena power and the ability to demand that witnesses testify under oath.

Yes, I watched it when he had Brian on. He said Tofel 'patted' her on the back hard when he said 'nice try and then he wouldn't leave, trying to wait till she came out of the room.

I'm sure this has all been posted!!

HAHA! Ok, men in sandals need to NOT wear socks. Those things, however, aren't sandals.

Hey, the guy's a liberal. Liberal = jerk. I know that we shouldn't be surprised when a pig snorts; but sometimes one forgets about the nasty slobber which goes with the snort.
