Yikes!! Your report is chilling. When I first saw video of the Tattoo, I couldn't help but wonder if the DJ had access to the small boat that I saw along side the Tatoo. If true, no wonder he is being held. Maybe this is why the FBI is leaving the island. They feel the case is somewhat solved. So sad for Natalee and her family. Still hope this is a rumor and not true.

Your post is reasonable, but how would the ordinary Aruban act if Joran had been seen with their daughter, and then she disappeared? The reaction of the two security guards' families was very telling. The girl friend of one was hysterical, screaming, all but tearing her hair and renting her clothes. You could hardly decipher one word in ten, but her meaning was clear. She felt he'd been picked on because he was poor and black, (the old colonial pecking order alive and well). I would think any Aruban parent would be aggressive and demanding to know where his daughter was and why the cops weren't making progress.
Sounded like the VDS were on their way up. Not any more. They are probably being looked at as responsible for giving the island a black eye, and what's worse, being bad for business. Oh, and one of them probably killed an American girl, but that's just boys being boys.
One time I was the victim of an unfortunate (temporary) incarceration and they had about thirty of us in a small holding cell. For some ungodly reason that I'll never know, they put a girl in the cell for only a few minutes. It was less than a minute I think before one of the men said "let's rape her" and a bunch of the others started grinning and shifting around. I don't know how long it would have taken before they were on her but the cops came back and took her away.
I heard N's mom say on tv that they were at Joran's gate 12 hours after she disappeared.
I think you will find that originally I referred to Jug, his five friends from Alabama, and two members of the Aruban police, as a "posse." I referred to this as such because when this many people show up at one's house at 3:00 am, with spotlights, blowing their horns and making demands, there is little else left to the imagination.
I did not say that it could not be done, but I would think that a bug had to put put on the phone in order to track it. I don't know too much if anything about that. Only what I hear and have read in detective type novels.

If the DJ helped dump N's body at sea, you'd think he'd cave and perhaps get off with a slap on the wrist or nothing at all. But so far, it looks as if they all believe that if they hang tight and no body is found, nothing can ever be proved. I wonder if their lawyers mentioned this fact. Like, no body and if you don't talk, you'll walk. Put more discreetly, of course.

I don't think Jim Robinson founded this site for FReepers to engage in sniping attacks against each other; and I don't think he appreciates it much either.
And I didn't come on this thread attacking you or anyone else personally. I came here to criticize the media, for putting out misinformation; and to criticize the idea that we can jump to conclusions based on the media's very questionable reporting --when we here at FR, of all people, should know to be cautious about what the media 'reports.'

I had a weird thought last week that N would turn up in Muslim hands. We'd get an Al Jazeera video as they beheaded her. I didn't want to even think this, and I'm sorry I shared it, but weirder things have happened. On the other hand, I can't believe these suspects, esp. the three young men, were street smart enough to arrange a kidnapping, abduction, and sale to some Venezuelan slave ring.
It seems to me that the parents seemed to expect Natalee to be there. Perhaps she had a nextel or cell phone.
Reportedly, she left her cell phone in her room along w/ the packed bags & her passport.
You have a point, but Beth Holloway said the Aruban LE basically blew her off, and that's why the family started searching for N more or less on their own.

Good grief. The personal sniping here. I don't know what I said anywhere that would justify someone making a sarcastic response implying that I think murder is "just boys being boys."

That's an interesting anecdote. But what does it have to do with anything this case? Some men are pigs, sure. Does that somehow make it a fact that all men pigs? Does somehow make it a fact that the three boys are pigs? I don't know what you're getting at.
