If I'm not mistaken, the old policy of coming here just to drop a baby out your vagina is illegal, and that baby is not neccessarily a citizen.

What is so thorny about kicking their asses out and locking the door? They were the ones who put that burden on their children, not us.

I did my OB rotation as an intern at LAC USC Medical Center in 82. We all joked that we made more citizens then a federal judge. The women would wait in the parking lot till they were "crowning" ie had the babies head appear before they would come in the doors....
1. Why do we have a law that says that any baby born here is automatically a citizen, even if the parents are illegal immigrants?
2. Why is there no movement to change this law?

This site is to a bill in congress - H.R.698 which would amend the immigration and nationality act to deny citizenship at birth to anchor babies. Go the that site for the status and sponsors of the bill.

Anchor babies are not US citizens. Their parents should be charged under the RICO laws for conspiring to come here, drop an illegal anchor baby and then shake down the American taxpayer to pay for their devious illegal scheme.

The rule is simple, the little child goes back with the mother and father and may return when they turn 18.
This is just a puff piece for the dream act as a means of undoing the little Republican sponsored reform that has already passed.

Put me down for a guest worker program like the one we had in World War 2.
Let people come in and work seasonal jobs and then go back home.
I am totally against illegal immigration in any form.
I also do not support citizenship for guest workers and illegals already in this country.
Just because their here illegally dose not give them the right to stay here.
I can see the guest worker plan being approved but any other free give away of citizenship rights will have a hell of a hard time passing if my vote counts for anything.
However, I am sure the ACLU dupes are licking their chops.
No great surprise here. Makes ya wanna hurl how Washington DC Federal government has *intentionally* blown it on illegal immigration. Treated it a one big frigging joke. Anchor babies will one day be voting and making this mess even worse, more chaotic.
