Cheney said we need these people here to do the jobs americans don't want.
I give up.

Well, let's look at that: Look at the unemployment rate, and tell me where the people would come from to do these jobs if all these immigrants suddenly up and left.
The point is LEGAL immigrants doing these jobs. Now, we have legal and illegal folks doing those jobs. For the sake of discussion, they all leave. Now what happens to the economy and those jobs?
Serious answers only, please. Flames aren't necessary when I'm merely looking for answers, I'm neither agreeing with nor disagreeing with Cheney's words. I've just seen this argument repeatedly and neither side ever answers the most basic questions.

Cheney's going to see a revolution in this country first hand if they don't wake the hell up and restore the sanctity of our borders.
Sent the 95% if illegals (Mexicans) home and be done with this.
Allow them to petition legally to come here for a job.
Everyone else deserves nothing form America but a boot out of here.

He's right--having ignorant, government-educated kids is something native Americans don't do the way they used to. I bet immigrants do it in spades.
