LOS ANGELES (AFP) - In his first public statement since his acquittal on child sex charges, Michael Jackson thanked his fans for their support and love during his gruelling four-month trial.
"Thank you to my family, friends and fans for all your love and support," read a statement that flashed up for barely a second on the star's website. "I will never forget I love you all. Michael," the message said.
The brief personal statement marked the first public words from the "King of Pop" since a jury on Monday found him not guilty on 10 charges that could have seen him jailed for up to two decades.
The message flashed up under the banner "VICTORY" at the end of an animated display celebrating the superstar's freedom and his winning the battle against the charges against him.
The jury in the California town of Santa Maria, near Neverland Ranch where the star was Tuesday holed up with his family, found Jackson was innocent of abusing a 13-year-old cancer patient, plying the boy with alcohol and plotting to kidnap him and his family.
Well, yeah, her hair -- and she snapped her finger at them!
So Jackson can't be guilty!
( sheesh )
Dan
Newsflash: Jackson is paying the cafeteria lady at Neverland Ranch to bear him two more children who he will name "Reasonable" and "Doubt."
I completely agree.I didn't hear one well thought out response. I heard what amounted to petty criticisms that seemed to effect their judgement.
Excuse me while I go get me some JESUS JUICE....
Guilty, not convicted.
"Michael is resting and enjoying his children"
You can't make this stuff up.
LOL! Just don't talk to anyone strange on the way.
I didn't know that. Is that why he wore that scarf on his face? Covering his face as 'the ladies' do. :)
The 2nd most elated person after the verdict was read was the umbrella man.
no sleep, more like drugged or drunk in "guest bed"? The jury of peer morons is already standing by.
