Richard Tofel, director of what was supposed to have been the 9-11 Memorial in New York, was just interviewed on Fox. He reluctantly admitted that the site will house instead something called the American Freedom Memorial, intended to "celebrate American freedom." There will be a 9-11 museum. However, other competing museums on the site will be dedicated to evil white European males' slaughter of American Indians, evil white European males' creation and maintenance of the black slave trade, and other museums "for which the details have not yet been determined."

Folks it's time to pull the plug on this outrage before it can get started with your money.

I heard this on Laura Ingraham's show this morning. They can't be allowed to get away with this.

I heard this Richard Tofel on WABC radio last Sunday morning.

He called in to a radio program that had just had Debra Burlingame on air as a guest. (Debra's brother Chick Burlingame was a Navy veteran and the pilot of American Airlines Flight 77, the plane the terrorists crashed into the Pentagon.)

This Tofel guy came off as quite a jerk.

He called Debra a "liar" repeatedly. Yes, that's the word he used: Liar.

To their credit, the hosts of the program (Rabbi Joe Patasnik and Father Paul Keenan) were very skeptical of Tofel, who got pretty overheated in his rhetoric (beyond using the 'L' word).

I only wished they had admonished Tofel for his disrespect. They didn't, but they did nail him on his misrepresentation that "the majority of the other 9/11 families support the 'Freedom Center'" and that the "other families suspect Debra has a far-right political agenda" (paraphrased).

Under questioning, it turned out Tofel was only talking about 9/11 families on the board of the WTC memorial committee --NOT the majority of ALL 9/11 families; and that of those families represented on the board, only 4 out of 7 disagreed with Debra.

The project was hijacked and the money in effect misappropriated into the private dreams of those who commandeered the leadership.

That's a typical Bolshevik/communist tactic. Find a popular movement, hijack the leadership, then turn it to your own ends.

Barring some intervening miracle or galvanizing event, it's becoming increasingly difficult to imagine a national future that does not include a recurrence of widespread, armed civil strife.

That scenario does of course assume that the mass assimilation of pc madness has not already occurred to the extent that those who'll willingly drop their pants and bend over in exchange for whatever constitutes their thirty personal pieces of silver are an overwhelming strategic majority.

I would truly rather envision a happy ending 'with freedom and justice for all', but it seems less likely by the day.
