Excuse me, but does anyone else discern that the libertarians are getting nuttier than a fruitcake?
I had tried to embrace their ideals, but every time you get close, some kook jumps out of the woodwork.
Next, they will permanently ally themselves with the greens.

What's illegal about carrying a copy of the Declaration of Independance and a Bible onto an airplane? Is there more to the story? Did he not have a ticket?

Well, he wouldn't allow anyone to wand him and do any searching. That's why he was taken away. I don't believe it was what he was carrying (read story again)

Others planned to start a private mail service ...
They'll issue stamps with moonbats on them.

It appears to this reader that he had no intention of really boarding a plane, as he just wanted to make a statement by not tolerating the airport screening process - somehow the bible and declaration of independence were 'props' for him to hold up or quote from.
I imagine he had a ticket or, at least from my experience, you can get to the screeners without them.

"Others planned to start a private mail service, to call attention to the federal government's monopoly on first-class mail delivery, and sell bottles of liquor, in defiance of state liquor laws."
Ping me when that happens, would ya? I sell books on-line and am always looking for ways to cut corners on shipping costs. If they can beat Media Mail rates, and guarantee delivery within a week throughout all of the USA and HI & AK, hot-digity, I'm in!
I'll also bring the popcorn, and some of my own homemade liquor to share and we'll just sit back and watch the Kook Parade, LOL!

Idiots like this guy give us normal libertarians a bad name. We are not all moonbats.
To: end socialism now
Yeah, well feel free to come up here anytime and tell that to the rest of these retards.
I hope that he gets an example made of him.

Really? And you think some dumba$$ trying to bypass airport security is where it should start? I suspect you're not going to get a large following.
This guy got lots of publicity for being a dumba$$. In that, he succeeded. In anything else, he's a miserable failure.

Is there more to the story? Did he not have a ticket? He didn't have identification. Think if someone tried to board a plane carrying nothing but a Koran and the Al-Queda charter. Oops, silly me, in that case they'd wave him past.

Kanning, an accountant and staunch Libertarian.. Libertarians for anarchy!
We dont need no stinking airplane security!

The people running the FSP are idiots...they select a blue state like New Hampshire in an area surrounded by blue states.
Their project is ultimately doomed. On the bright side, it kept these people out of decent states like South Carolina and Idaho.

Do you mean to say you're not appreciative of all those Libertarian Free Staters who have moved to NH? How could you be so cruel, eh? [/sarc]

A couple more faults you forgot to mention...your property taxes and vehicle registration fees are outrageous. I'm in NH, and I am out of here at the earliest opportunity.
