What's illegal about carrying a copy of the Declaration of Independance and a Bible onto an airplane? Is there more to the story? Did he not have a ticket?
Well, he wouldn't allow anyone to wand him and do any searching. That's why he was taken away. I don't believe it was what he was carrying (read story again)
It appears to this reader that he had no intention of really boarding a plane, as he just wanted to make a statement by not tolerating the airport screening process - somehow the bible and declaration of independence were 'props' for him to hold up or quote from.
I imagine he had a ticket or, at least from my experience, you can get to the screeners without them.
He didn't have identification. Think if someone tried to board a plane carrying nothing but a Koran and the Al-Queda charter. Oops, silly me, in that case they'd wave him past.
