Coincidence or ...? A rare white buffalo, considered sacred by the Lakota Sioux, was born last week on Allens' Shelby County ranch in Shelbyville, Ky. Its granddaddy was the 3,000-pound, award-winning bull Chief Joseph, who was struck by lightning on Sept. 11, 2001, and died two weeks later.
