MILFORD. Ohio -- A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of raping his 7-week-old baby, News 5's Bina Roy reported.
The baby girl also has a broken leg, a broken wrist and bruises on her chest, nose and legs, Roy reported.
The baby's mother, Shannon Sorah, said her husband, Joseph Warner Sorah, admitted sexually assaulting his daughter.
"He admitted to doing it when no one was around," she said.
She said he slept next to the child's crib in another room.
"He said the reason why he wanted her to sleep in there was so I could get my sleep," she said.
Shannon Sorah said her husband had beaten her and their 2-year-old son, but she never imagined he could rape the baby.
"He's had problems. He needs help. He's sick. He's sick in a perverted way," she said through tears.
The baby's uncle, James Carpenter, said he never suspected anything.
"He's never really worked a job or anything. He's just a bum, basically. I never thought he was a child molester," Carpenter said.
Sorah was arraigned Wednesday on rape and child endangering charges and is being held in the Clermont County jail on $500,000 bond. He could be sentenced to life in prison if convicted, Roy reported.
"I don't want anything to happen to him, anything bad, but he deserves it right now," his wife said.
Milford police said they discovered the crime after two women called paramedics to examine the baby.
Paramedics and police found scarring and other signs of abuse on the infant.
A later exam later revealed the rape, police said.
The baby will be turned over to Protective Services when she recovers, Roy reported.
I never share these threads with my wife anymore. She begins to weep; she can't handle this kind of stuff.

I disagree. The woman stayed with a man who BEAT her 2-year-old. She's not grieving for the child; she's grieving for her "man".

Yes. Everything I started to say on this thread would have gotten me in hot water. So I put myself in timeout.

If ever a man deserved a horrible death, this one does.
A way of dealing with this would be to turn a guy like this loose in a room of angry fathers carrying baseball bats and straight razors. Film the whole thing, and then show the film on national tv. Everytime a guy like this is caught, repeat the process. No trial, no extended jail stay. Just a violent, painful death.
It might not stop it from happening, but it would give the public a sense of justice.

What you heard is correct but it is not true. It does not get rid of aids - it only leaves behind a broken baby who will now suffer aids and die. I'm sorry but you stated it like it might help against aids. It does not. No apologies necessary. Just keeping the record straight. My heart cries for these innocents.

I know a girl who was sexually abused by her natural father, then her step-father and then her foster parent.
I know it is God's place to judge but methinks there is a special place in Hell for people like this.
I wouldn't hold out much hope for him on that account. Just my opinion.

Twenty years ago, I never heard of such evil but today everyday brings out a more horrible story of total depravity and incomprehensible horror. Fathers raping their babies, mothers stabbing and boiling their children, sickos attacking childrens in their own homes and burying them alive.
Mother Teresa said something like...in a society that condones a mother killing her own child, all other types of crimes should be expected since what greater crime can there be. God help us and forgive us.
