RICHMOND -- Virginia's sex-offender registry is plagued with problems and cannot account for nearly 250 offenders, a preliminary analysis of the registry by the state's newly formed Sex Offender Task Force has found. Missing photographs, incorrect addresses and dated information are just a few of the issues the state faces in its effort to revamp the registry, members of the Virginia State Crime Commission's task force were told at the force's first meeting yesterday.

the "system" per se ain't the problem - the real problem is that pervs aren't spending anywhere near enough time in jail where they belong.

this "system" is designed to deal with the symptoms of the problem, not the prob itself.

Now if we deported all the illegals in the prison system except maybe those on death row and secured the borders; we could incarcerate these American perverts for LIFE and we wouldn't have to wonder where the hell they are!

There's definitely one there. But I don't think he ever belonged in the VA system. He did live close to the VA border, though, didn't he?

Cops don't care anyway. I recently noticed that were an unusual number of sex offenders living near my parents. I called the city police and asked why. The female cop that answered the phone told me, very rudely, that the offenders had every right to live anywhere they wanted. Some of them were within a block of an elementary school.

They are not lost. They are working as school coaches and guidance counselors here in Massachusetts.
