The two suspects arrested in connection with the disappearance have just been charged with murder, homicide and kidnapping leading to homicide.
The United States is not exactly crime free, you know. This could have just as well happened in Alabama as in Aruba, sadly enough.
I have avoided doing that and managed to have a splendid, splendid, relaxing time.
don't be silly, Aruba is not a hell hole and what happens in LA ever fricking day, where are little girls being kidnapped raped and killed almost every week, can we say Florida?????????????????????????????????????????????
now Washington DC, there's a place I'll skip.......
Are they showing this on CNN right now? It is not on their website.
My apologies, failure to spell check is not a good excuse. The correct spelling is homicide.
more likely to happen in Alabama, Aruba only averages one murder a year.....if......I still wonder if she Overdosed, died and they panicked and dumped the body......
No it doesn't - it says "suspects"
It is amazing to me the people who have no idea what Aruba is like painting it and similar countries with the same broad brush because one of our citizens went there and exhibited ZERO common sense.

ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) - Two men charged in the disappearance of a U.S. teenager who went missing in Aruba more than a week ago were known to police for trolling area hotels to pick up women, and at least one had a previous brush with the law, a police officer said Tuesday.
The two suspects had lost their jobs as security guards at a hotel about two blocks from the Holiday Inn where Natalee Holloway, 18, was staying in the Dutch Caribbean island. They weren't fired but their work contracts had expired, a police officer told The Associated Press.
They were known to police because they had a habit of cruising hotels trying to pick up women or bum cigarettes, said the officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
About 700 volunteers joined police, soldiers and FBI agents on Monday, combing scrubland and beaches on Aruba's southeastern tip in an unprecedented search for Holloway.
Search parties found numerous items including T-shirts and sunglasses, but none had been tied to the missing teen, and the search was not scheduled to resume Tuesday, authorities said. FBI agents were to continue their own investigation while volunteers distributed fliers on the missing girl, they said.
One of the suspects had a previous brush with the law, but it was not a violent or sexual offence, the officer said.
The men - aged 28 and 30 - will appear before a judge in a closed hearing Wednesday to determine whether their detention is warranted, Attorney General Caren Janssen said.
With a nine-day-old search unsuccessful, authorities have not ruled out any possibilities, including accidental death, Janssen said.
Holloway, of Mountain Brook, Ala., has been missing since May 30. She vanished while on a five-day trip with more than 100 classmates celebrating their high-school graduation. Seven chaperones accompanied them.
Yep, they get a stiffer sentence if convicted of both. I guess they will have to stay the eight days instead of three. :-)
Are they going to lead authorities to the body site?
No, that is hatecide, unless committed by another homo and then it is called, "Ooops!".

so I still wonder if she died from an overdose, maybe these guys gave her the rape drug, GBH, gave her too much.....hmmmm
Since the entire national economy of Aruba hangs on this one, you can bet that their punishement will be the legal maximum.

I made this exact comment to my wife last night, as we listened to this report on Fox. Tourism is the life-blood of that island. A major negative like this horrible situation would turn them into an impoverished landmark on the map.
Now it comes out....Natalee's Mom thought her daughter had been kidnapped per the two held...finally these killers have fested up. That's exactly why FBI dive teams were brought in yesterday....looking for the body of Natalee these killers dumped.
What proof do they have it was these two security guards. We don't have a clue why they arrested them. Or do we?
sw
yeah some guy who called Joe Scarborough said he met one of the security guards arrested and he was shocked, said he was a great guy as best that man and his son could tell, just a few weeks ago, I think they were security guards at the Allegro, I'm trying to remember if my sister stayed there when she met the Dutch drug dealer/water sports dude....hmmmmm
It's Dutch law I believe ..??
What standoff??????????????
What story? Where?
