That's too bad .. Wash D.C. is such a wealth of history and artifacts. Something for everyone. You just have to know where to stay. Use a reputable travel agent and you can find a great hotel within walking distance of the WH, the Capitol and the Mall. The monuments are lighted at night and the tour is spectacular. I'd go in a minute.
