I think the emergency cab fare used to be in that shoe, and now she's thinking about what she's going to have to do to get a ride home. [shudder]

Grace Jone's greatest hit was Dolph Lundgren.

Shiela E was great (also sexy) in her Prince hit "The Glamerous Life", though she was part of the bombing of the Magic Johnson show.

Remember Too Shy, was a too cute pop song.

"How Long" is off of Paul Carracks, Blue Views, which I have sitting right here beside me. The CD was released in '97. I am clueless as to whether or not this was a re-release of the song.

I enjoyed Squeeze as well as Mike and The Mechanics.

Puttin' On The Ritz
Taco

If you're blue
And you don't know where to go to
Why don't you go where fashion sits
Puttin' on the ritz

Different types who wear a
Day coat pants with stripes
And cutaway coat perfect fits
Puttin' on the ritz

Dressed up like a million-dollar trooper
Tryin' hard to look like Gary Cooper
(Super duper)
Come let's mix where Rockefellers walk
With sticks or um-ber-ellas in their mitts
Puttin' on the ritz

Have you seen the well-to-do
Up and down Park Avenue
On that famous thoroughfare
With their noses in the air
High hats, and arrow collars
White spats, and lots of dollars
Spending every dime
For a wonderful time

If you're blue
And you don't know where to go to
Why don't you go where fashion sits
Puttin' on the ritz

Different types who wear a
Day coat pants with stripes
And cutaway coat perfect fits
Puttin' on the ritz

Dressed up like a million-dollar trooper
Tryin' hard to look like Gary Cooper
(Super duper)
Come let's mix where Rockefellers walk
With sticks or um-ber-ellas in their mitts
Puttin' on the ritz

---- Instrumental Interlude ----

Dressed up like a million-dollar trooper
Tryin' hard to look like Gary Cooper
(Super duper)
If you're blue
And you don't know where to go to
Why don't you go where fashion sits
Puttin' on the ritz
Puttin' on the ritz
Puttin' on the ritz
Puttin' on the ritz

(Gotta dance)
(Gotta dance)

(If you're blue and you don't know where to go to)
(Why don't you go where fashion sits)
(Puttin' on the ritz)
(Puttin' on the ritz)

I am clueless as to whether or not this was a re-release of the song.

It is a re-make/slightly different version from the original, released by Ace in 1980, of which Paul Carrack was the lead singer.

I have to go to bed.

If you have a DVD drive and a short list of videos like these, let me know. I'll send you the MPEGs.

How short?

Hmm, no more than 60 per disk, if I'm doing the math right in my head...about 75meg per vid, avg.

Open offer to those already on this thread at the time of this post.

You're really hitting your straps now. The 80's jukebox is getting full now. Deciding on a top twenty 80's tracks to take to a desert island would be quite difficult.

She was always a big hit in gay clubs I hear.

Outside of that, she had no career beyond one movie with the Arnold.
