...again.
I do not know a lot about the investigations of the Communists while Nixon was in Congress, but have read Ann Coulter's book "Treason". Looking at who is calling him a hero and hates Nixon, I get the feeling something is related.
I understand their hatred of Richard Nixon. I am wondering what role did Mark Felt, play in the investigations of the communists, or he have any role with the communists. If anyone who did lots research on this; is reading this please express your thoughts about the relationship or possible relationships, Communists investigations and Mark Felt. I am ignorant about this, but have a feeling about it all
Interesting. I wonder is some enterprising young pup could do a detailed expose' of the facts Woodward overlooked, changed..what files he saw...the relationship to any J.Edgar Hoover files through Felt....turnabout is fair play. Not that anyone in the media would report it.
Also the idea the Carl Bernstein is anything put a no talent putz (while Woodward is merely mediocre)..what a stroke of career luck for those two hacks.
Unbelievable.
As a politician, I wouldn't touch Pat Buchanan with a ten foot pole, but he used to write some good columns, and this is another.
There is a saying what ever goes around comes around, I smell a bigger stink in this story. More yet to come out I think that will not make these guys look so good. With many sources of media today, we are not limited in perspective.
There is no one with better perspective on Watergate-Vietnam and the ability to communicate it than Buchanan, no matter how we disagree with his opposition to taking out Saddam Hussein. Good post.
This piece shows why Buchanan still has some admirers; he comes out swinging and scores a first round knockout. This is as good or better than Coulter at her best. It's too bad the Buckaroo has so many critics in FR.
Great post, thanks.
Something tells me you are not gonna have a whole lot of friends here.
Mark Felt was, and probably still is, a snivelling little snitch. No one, other than partisan Democrats apparently, respect snivelling little snitches.
So did Linda Tripp. Look what she got. Somehow, I'll bet that's okay by you.
Maybe not. Woodward and Bernstein have already started covering their @sses, by distancing themselves from the inevitable scrutiny that will show that Felt could not possibly have been THE one and only Deep Throat.
Nixon's downfall was that he was as loyal to those around him as they were to him.
That's called nobility.
You should try it sometime.
I was thinking the same as you. This is the Pat I used to like.
Must be a slow news day over at the DU.
The democratic will of the people was thwarted by this takeover and that was the greater crime. Nixon should have finished his term, for which the American people elected him, and then tried by the Judicial system.
Washington is still polluted by the unelected trying to void the choices of American voters.
