It got me about a month ago. I barely escaped having that stuff on my screen with my kids looking over my shoulder.
One problem is tactical. You have the right to post from the instant you sign on to FR as a newbie.
In my view, for whatever that's worth, a more desirable situation would be to allow newbies to only post in one limited area, if at all, for their first week or two.
That takes care of all but the sleepers, as well as makes sleeper accounts valuable enough that they don't just toss them away by doing obviously dumb things.
Same goes for private email...give newbies a two-week introduction period before they earn the right to use email...sort of like Driver's Ed for posters.

I join you in support. I too, received the images. For what reason I do not know. I am just grateful that my children were not exposed to such filth. I muse that anyone may think, by reading my screenname, that I am Asian. If so, they do not know that the name comes from literature and that I am as anglo-saxon as they come. Regardless, something has got to give. Let me know where I can help.
Trolls are so stupid. If you really wanted to troll a web board, wouldn't it make sense to take your laptop to various WiFi hotspots and use their IP addresses?

for some reason I once got pinged to a bunch of threads I had no involvement with, the pictures had been red-X'd out already but they were HUGE and almost crashed my browser. There were about 7 of them at once, all different threads, all of which I had nothing to do with.
Count me in as someone who's pissed about this. After 5 years I've seen a lot of folks come and go, but nothing like this. Good thing I haven't been pinged to more of this crap but I do feel bad for you folks.
Let me know if there's anything I can do. I'm a network tech and know a lot about finding info on IP's and who sits behind the monitor :-)
