A new online posting purportedly by the al-Qaida group in Iraq has declared the creation of a new cell of suicide bombers and claimed it has already carried out a number of attacks.
“We gladly inform our sheikh Osama bin Laden and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi of the formation of al-Bara bin Malek Brigade,” said a man claiming to be Abu Doujana al-Ansari, the head of the new group.
It wasn’t possible to verify the authenticity of the four-minute-audio tape, which appeared on an Islamic website on Tuesday.
Al-Ansari said that the cell came in response to bin Laden’s call to attack US troops in Iraq.
According to the message, bin Laden urged insurgents to “terrorise the crusaders and their followers by striking their castles and destroying their spirits through suicidal attacks”.
The cell had launched a series of suicide attacks in Iraq, the man said.
That is beyond disgusting!
You know, this could be a great way to run a 'sting'. The Iraqi Army and the Coalition could set this up, get these guys all set up with boobytrapped bombs that don't go off, and can arrest these guys in the act. The 'bomber' thinks it was just a fluke, and since no one has told him it was set up to be that way, there are a lot of inefficient bombers that go out, don't do any harm, but get taken off the streets.
Ther are down to ugly 10 year olds..
I can't figure out how they imagine that suicide attacks are supposed to more effective than "plain old ordinary" commando raids. At least the commandos might get to attack more than once. As tactics go, these suicide attacks are strictly for the small-minded and cowardly.
Which is exactly what these people are - small-minded and cowardly.
They need a vacant lot to practice in
