KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - A bomb exploded Wednesday inside a mosque in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar and local residents said many people had been killed or wounded.

The blast occurred inside the Mullah Abdul Fayaz Mosque in the center of the city, residents said. The place of worship was named after a top Muslim leader who was killed by gunmen on Sunday in the city.

Daoud Khan, a resident near the mosque, said up to 40 people appeared to have been killed or wounded.

An Associated Press reporter at the site saw many body parts strewn around the mosque.

You know, if it was me and I was over there, I think I would quit hanging out near a mosque.

My thoughts exactly. Where will the editorials be expressing disgust at so many Korans being blown to bits, along with people practicing their religion? Who will demonstrate in the streets at these Korans receiving much worse than an accusation of being flushed down a toilet?

Had an errant US missile or Artillery shell accidentally hit a Mosque and did the same damage, you can bet the outcry would be massive, especially here in the US Leftstream Media

Another explosion in a "holy mosque"???
I thought the sheetheads considered Mosques - off limits..
Sanctuaries of reflection and prayer.....

I sure hope they removed all the "holy Korans" before they blew the hell out of the place --- hurling blood, guts, bile, urine and whatever all over the freaking place.....

I wonder if the Pakis will riot over this desecration of a Mosque and uncounted Korans.....or maybe even the dead sheetheads...

Or --- does blowing up "holy mosques" and killing sheetheads at prayer, not rise to the level of an infidel touching the Koran with his left (ass wiping) hand?
Someone should inform the bastards, that we use toilet paper and WASH our hands after taking a crap...

No, the outcry would be just as loud had an American bullet glanced off such a structure. If an American bomb actually did that type of damage, the press would be hanging everyone out to dry and demanding the entire government resign.

Actually, on second thought, the bullet grazing would likely cause more of a stir were it not for the fact that we invaded Afghanistan, which makes this Bush's fault.

Somebody needed to say this and I'm glad you did. There is some very twisted thinking among Muslim radicals, and the MSM does nothing but feed that confusion.

American liberals will weep geniune tears of sadness over the deaths of these worshipping muslims... but only because the non-Iraq location of their deaths lessens their political point value.

The horror. The horror.

It had to have been an errant missile from the Imperialist American Infidels. Peace-loving Muslims killing other peace-loving Muslims? Never... /sarc

Just another expression of worship from the Mosque down the street.

And we think we are going to civilize these people with "The Power of the Vote" why?

Instead of voting bread and circuses, they will just vote explosives and be-headings.
