An ice cream truck driver is in jail charged with peddling more than snow cones and fudgecicles from his vehicle in Albuquerques South Valley.
The 21-year-old driver, Steven Gonzales was arrested Monday and charged with drug dealing after deputies say he was pulled over with $50 worth of marijuana in his truck.
Im really disappointed, said Lonnie Nettles, who has lived in the area of Barcelona and Wilkinson SW for 50 years. We used to have a good neighborhood. Any more, its kind of going down.
Im really shocked, said fellow neighborhood resident Argelia Barraza. So I guess it will be the last time well ever buy any ice cream.
Deputies report that the bust is the second in two months of a driver for that ice cream truck company.

The driver offered to sell a 14 year old boy some pot, but the kid didn't want it. Instead he called the cops and reported the driver. When the cops got there they had the guy get out of the truck and they asked him if they would find any pot in his truck and he said "no, I don't have any pot in the truck." The way he said it made the cops suspect he had some on him, so they asked him, and he gave it up. They arrested him. The cops were laughing about him being a stupid criminal.

Seems to me that meth is a bigger problem than pot.
We need to go after the meth and drop the pot problems.

Uh, didn't every neighborhood used to have an ice cream man who sold cones to the kiddies and pot to the teenagers?

The driver offered to sell a 14 year old boy some pot, but the kid didn't want it. If so..the "dealer" was no dealer, he's a pusher. Deal with him as harshly as the law allows. And then some..
