Thanks. I posted to another thread on Clarks email yesterday. Clark does not even know the history of Memorial Day, nor when it started. The man has zero respect from either our military or the military of other nations. He has been a disgrace in the past, and nothing has changed. It proves Democrats should never be allowed to lead the military. They don't understand Freedom or Liberty.

You misunderstood me. The CSPAN host asked the "Republican" caller a question. I thought it was to get an expected pro-McCain response from her.

Perhaps he is really a closet conservative and thought that he would trick her into revealing her true 'blue' feelings. /fantasy

Absolutely they may have thought they had won the battle but Cheney knows the war is a different kettle of fish and will do all he can to see that the eventual outcome favours the administration and IMHO that picture says it all.

Ya'll might really want to check out McCain on Wolfie's show today---

Last night on Capital Gang, they ran a clip of part of his interview today--

Gary Bauer, a very conservative ex-congresscritter states that when he asked Bush in 2000(Ithink) if he would nominate a pro-life SCOTUS, Bush said that he would nominate a constitutionalist judge---but, when Bauer asked McCain whether he would nominate a pro-life nominee if he were POTUS, according to Bauer, he said YES he would....

However, supposedly on today's Wolfie show, when Wolf asked McCain about his pledge to, in effect, apply a litmus test to SCOTUS nominees, MCCain answers that the conversation with Bauer was "private" and wouldn't confirm nor deny that he said that....hmmmmm

I believe Condi has this nuclear threat as her main job which requires bringing Russia around.

You and I are the only ones who watched

Lugar and Nunn have been working on the "nuclear" issue a long time and there are few who can talk about it more authoritatively. The program was pretty alarming, all in all with problems coming not just from terrorists, but from deteriorating facilities in Russia. Not sure we can ever get an accurate inventory of nuclear arsenals, but I would think we could do better. As one of the panel pointed out, the US is not the only place some really bad event could take place.

It looks like Warner's trying to steady McCain.

He is asking McCain how to get schmoozed by MSM. Mathews was showering Warner with all praise and when he is fully immersed, Mathews got a promise from Warner that he will hold the high command responsible for abu Gharib. Shameful!

Maybe but he gives me the, "I'm on a bunch of pills anyway impression", he may not even realize how sick he is.
I watched him on Imus some time ago and he seemed zoned out on something.

If President Bush isn't worried about harm coming to his Administration re: the Syria info, then why the heck should Dodd care?

Besides, it is for this very reason (executive priviledge) about being able to read these top secret papers, that the Senate SHOULD defer to the POTUS's judgement....

Dodd is Fidel's organ grinder monkey, and whatever he is doing, it is because of Cuba...

Biden is just jealous, bitter and hateful....

I rejoice as much as anyone with the ending of the cold war and more freedom for the Eastern Europeans but I do have this nagging feeling that we know less about how many and where the nuclear weapons are now than we did before.

I just finished watching MTP in my bedroom as I didn't want to alarm the young nieces and nephews we have staying with us this week.

Lugar and Nunn have beaten this drum for a number of years now and I think they are honest in their assessments and concerns.

I'd like to see more discussions of this kind take place, without the usual blame and finger pointing.
