That's a great idea! If enough FReepers send just $10 to Brinkman, or whatever we an afford, they'll notice.

While I agree with you on the first and third points I must disagree on the second one. That is due to the fact that he unlike the opposing political parties Presidential candidate not only served, but was legitimately and seriously injured, and while injured tortured and held captive by the NVA. Yet, through it all he kept his faith with this nation and the men in prison with him, even refusing to be repatriated ahead of the men junior in rank to him. That is no traitor.

Pick on his ego, disagree with his politics and whom he has of late chosen for friends, but please, do not call him a traitor.

Hmmmm.... Judging from what I can see, virtually every
Republican in Washington has some group of Freepers who are demanding that (s)he be defeated in the 2006 primaries and/or election.

If you're under 40 and take, say ... Hannity seriously .... I have sympathy for you. Been there ...

Anybody else who thinks the GOP (or any Bush!) actually cares about pro-lifers or will ever do anything to limit government - you're just deluded. Charlie Brown/Lucy/Football.

There has got to be someone we can run against Warner here in Va.. I talked to a couple of Republican insiders and the consensus is that it's a waste of time tryinng to dethrone him. I frankly have a hard time believing that the state that elected George Allen can't see fit to replace John Warner.

I was thinking Paul Harris (my former delegate) might be a possible candidate. I know he'd prefer to be governor, but .....

I think that was meant was, a traitor to the Republicans. At least that's as far as I'd go.

...I do believe that the same holds true for the Senator in question. In this case a satirical photo I believe is appropriate.

Of course. Can't have a Mo Dowd article without a CZJ picture.

I couldn't view the Capt. Queeg photo on the other thread. Might be my browser settings?

Then we agree to the concept that McVain is unfaithful possibly even adulterous in his behavior to his political party.

I am only advocating defeat for the Notorious GOP 7, and of those, I think it was a good point to concentrate on those in play.

Yes I think WE agree; the original post from ZULU said "traitor to the party" (which I agree with) so possibly you stopped reading at the word traitor (as in to the US, which I don't agree with). Just attempting to clarify.

Agreed. Now if only the folks on PA Ave in DC could get along as well as we do in FR, things would be a whole lot better.

Yeah, I understand that, but half of the PA Freepers are demanding Santorum's defeat.

Conservatives (unlike Democrats), demand absolute control of their representatives.

Not that that's bad. Usually, it's good. It only becomes bad when you end up defeating a conservative, and replacing him with a liberal.

Anyone in the lowcountry area of SC want to see if we can get enough money together to put up a billboard about Lindsay Graham?

McCain has joined Christie Whitman's PAC. Watch for them to pull a Perot and start a new party. They will split the republican party and hand a 40% victory to the dems.

That is a scary thought. I do not think McCain will run as a 3rd party candidate. Even with his ego, he would have to know that he could not win and I think McCain would rather be remembered as a deal broker in the Senate than a 3rd party Presidential candidate that got 3% of the vote.

Then it is up to the other half to reason with them and persude them of the errors in their logic. Of course in a time honored fashion a few friendly pints of spirits during the discussion would probably help.
