Frist's first interview since the musshy middle announced their deal. As far actual news goes - Rush called Frist's office and at this point all judges will get a vote.
Could be worse, he doesn't like men. Then again, he's a closet liberal that just came out, maybe he's a closet homosexual as well.
I thought Pickering was a recess appointment last year, able to serve only one year. I could be wrong.
I know what you mean. My hubby is so disgusted he can't bear listening to the banter and analysis that's going on. He's really wanting to wash his hands of "all the stinking politicians who are willing to sell us down the river".
It is awfully tempting to throw in the towel and stick my head in the sand, but I just can't do it and will go down fighting, I guess (and hubby will too - he's just mad).
Those s.o.b's on the Hill need to know that we in fly over country not only vote with our feet, but its times like this that THEIR ACTIONS INFLAME US ENOUGH TO COME TOGETHER AND UNITE TO KICK THEIR BUTTS OUT ON THE STREET!!!
You know this whole "extreme circumstances" thing is absolute crap. Any SCOTUS nominee will be subjected to the Bork/Thomas type character assassination and then the Democraps will say OOPS HE/SHE IS TOO EXTREME!!
The Constitution is being spat upon by these Rinos. Frist doesn't seem to have the Warrior instinct needed to save this Republic. He doesn't understand the demos need to be defeated and humiliated at every turn. It would be good if he could do what you say, but I doubt he has the fire in his soul. Frist has lost this battle and maybe more. Time will tell...
YOu are Correct H2O, my bad. Maybe I said 2006 in hopes we could cast him off earlier.
He ain't naive, they've probably got pics of him and a Michael Jackson sandwiching a little boy.
The treasonous faggot.
Then the States of Maine and Rhode Island should be politically punished for choosing them.
slice the pork!
The same reason McCain is Chairman of the Commerce Committee--seniority.
I suppose but it's Warner, McCain, DeWine and Graham who deserve personal political consequences. Republicans managing to get elected in blue states are different than those from the red states.
I think DeWine or Warner would have flipped if they had to go on record with their vote. Both are from Red states. McCain is a different animal. He won reelection with almost 75% of the vote in 2004.
No
They all deserve consequences for the political adultery.
At this point I think Frist is correct. Ignore the agreement and bring up the judges over and over again until they get up or down votes.
The result of that would be those states going over to the dark side completely. If you're in a mood to punish, Democrat Senators in split states should be given no quarter. We either create more DINO's or we replace Demacrat Senators with Republicans.
I think it is an internal Republican decision. They can be stripped of their chairmanship.
Let them go completely. Go nuclear.
Start to talk about changing seniority rules for committee chairs for 06!
true, but they won't.
I'm not too sure. Bring the judges up for a vote on the floor of the Senate. If the RATS want to filibuster, break out the cots...
It's not good to turn a majority into a minority like that. Think about what Jeffords did & how we ended up with Dems as committee chairs after he got turned.
