the dems control the MSM. He who frames the debate wins the debate

SOunds to me like you give up if I follow your logic. I personally think the MSM is an echo chamber and that America is becoming more conservative all the time. As people flee the Northeast and move to the South, it will become more so.

Patience, we have no control over RINOs, at least they got the Moderate Dems to go on record as opposing fiibusters of judicial nominees. That means that 62 out of 100 are against these filibusters (55+7).

Would not surprise me if Dick Durbin, or Byron Dorgan, or Kent Conrad all had their noses in on it. Think of some Dims looking for face time.

I have no doubt. In my state the anger over our worthless RINOs is reaching a boil. Of course the dems will pick up seats.

Heck, they deserve to. We are obviously not ready for prime time. When we cannot even secure a guaranteed win, we deserve to lose.

Frist is worthless and the President is now a lame duck. All the work and money expended to get this majority is gone down the drain.

Let me ask a question...who will work so hard again? I sure as hell won't.

You are so blind, ill educated, and delusional, that there's no breaking through that concrete your brain is buried in. You understand this "game" less well than a deaf, blind, two day old mole.

This White House/president ( whom I voted and worked for, BTW ) is out of the loop, has a VERY bad record on making the Senators of his party bend to his will, and makes Clinton looks like LBJ, in that area ; which he wasn't.

Please cite just two examples of President Bush making a Senator "face his wrath", when they went against him. Come on, oh "expert", list just 2. LOL

Now we know definitely who they are (and I'm really disappointed in Lindsey Graham). I say these 7 need to be taken out in the primaries, because even if they are replaced by Democrats, frankly, we're no worse off.

Nothing worse than a traitor

Well I was furious at first (not Frist) but have calmed down after some reflection.

Since the Dems have agreed not to vote for cloture for the three they said were MOST extreme.....I wonder who would fall in the 'exceptional case' category?

Dear RNC, you've got some work to do if you want me to care, much less vote, much less contribute in 06.

I just e-mailed the chairman of the RNC demanding that my name be stricken from all of their mailing lists. You can do the same at:

Denial. I understand. When a disaster of this magnatude occurs, the extent of the disaster is best ignored.

No, I am not saying the White House is weak. I am saying McCain is never, ever to be trusted. He has not just betrayed the White House. He has betrayed the Constitution. (I know, who in DC hasn't)

Time for me to start taking a long, serious look at George Allen.

And, I think we all live to fight another day. Can we expect the Dems to filibuster future nominees? Yes. Can we expect the nuclear option to be rolled out again for possible deployment? Yes. Basically, all they've done is kick the can further down the road. The Dems will spin this as a "win" for them, but with the three most conservative Bush nominees now getting a free-pass, only their moronic base will believe this is a win. The crisis will probably reheat during the first Supreme Ct. nomination.

Prediction: All smiles and backslapping tonight; Owen gets approved; Dems then filibuster the next nominee as an "extraordinary" situation; Republicans push the button

I disagree. It's a huge deal. It is because it is symbolic. We backed down when we didn't need to.

"We" didn't back down, a group of moderate RINOS "backed down" and allowed the Democrats to save face and claim a victory. They have won nothing.

Agreed. Reid's nasty statement says it all.

NOTHING has changed, except the GOP senators who permitted Maverick to make fools 'em.

Thank you for reciting why we need not support future Republican Senate candidates. Their only capability is to roll over for the Democraps. Graham, Snow, Collins, Chaffee, McCain, Specter, Hagel....are useless in terms of the conservative agenda. McLame has never recovered from his trouncing by Bush..he holds a grudge and just can't over the fact GWB kicked his sorry ass all the way back to Arizona. We lost big tonight.

So the deal is signing an agreement pledging “mutual trust and confidence.” God Almighty!

This is from Drudge:

The agreement said future nominees to the appeals court and Supreme Court should "only be filibustered under extraordinary circumstances," with each Democrat senator holding the discretion to decide when those conditions had been met.

"In light of the spirit and continuing commitments made in this agreement," Republicans said they would oppose any attempt to make changes in the application of filibuster rules.

So we're back where we were before.
