".....Generally, DNC researchers said they were pleased with Dean's performance, if only because they felt host Tim Russert was not on his game.
"It definitely wasn't your typical 'gotcha' interview by Russert," says the DNC staffer. "On just about every issue: Social Security, the filibuster, DeLay, Bolton and Iraq, Dean basically just put out what we gave him: Bush is privatizing Social Security, DeLay should be in jail, the filibuster is un-Democratic, Bush is a liar, Bolton is a liar. Russert never called us on a single thing. We got lucky".

The same people who made Dean the Chairman of the DNC, are the same ones who want to run this country and tell us how to run our lives.
They are also the same ones who have been running Social Security.

Howard Dean means nothing. It is all about Hillary, and nothing else. Keep the battle fixed on her, and do not give so much as an inch until the moment you see her concede the election.

He also made the statement several times that Osama Bin Laden had nothing to do with the terrorist attack on the US.
He probably had practiced that drug snorting routine one time too many and confused Osama with Sadam Hussain.

I think Dean may be working for the Republicans in one of the greatest deceptions of all time.

Um, that'd be a desire to make an appearance of moving to the center. Couldn't let that one go.

Wow, talk about selective quoting by Newsmax!
Newsmax quote: "He hasn't been convicted yet, but ... I think there's a reasonable chance that this may end up in jail."
Actual interview:
He hasn't been convicted yet, but he is also, in addition to the things that I just mentioned, under investigation in Texas by a district attorney down there for violating the campaign finance laws of Texas by funneling corporate donations, which is illegal, into certain campaign a
MR. RUSSERT: You said in December of 2003 that we shouldn't prejudge Osama bin Laden. How can you sit here and have a different standard for Tom DeLay and prejudge him?
DR. DEAN: To be honest with you, Tim, I don't think I'm prejudging him. The things that I just read off--offering the congressman's son campaign money, providing Westar, the energy company, with a seat at the table in exchange for contributions, using the Department of Homeland Security to track down the private plane of political enemies--those are things that he has already been adjudicated for. Now, the question is: Where is this going to end up? I think there's a reasonable chance that this may end up in jail. And I don't think people ought to do these kinds of things in public service. I do not think they ought to do these kinds of things in public service. And I don't think Democrats should, either.
