I suspect that if Rice is Veep, she will leave DC before a Pres run.

16 years in DC would be more than enough for her.

She has my vote automatically... I hope she runs and wins. She's a genius.

Secretary Condi Rice...a beautiful brilliant conservative black women who loves America would be an excellent choice for President...elected in 2008. However, she'll need extremely strong protection from the likes of hildabeast...she has a rather mobster type way of getting rid of her opponents.

Earl Warren. That's as bad as Souter.

An Allen/Rice ticket could beat anything the Dems would come up with. The Terri Schiavo fiasco finished me with Jeb. I've seen enough of the Bushes. (Except Laura!)

Worse. But, in fairness, it's not as bad as some of Nixon's appointees.

Pre-Reagan, the best justice in modern times was actually a Kennedy appointee - Byron "Whizzer" White.

I'm a social conservative and member of the PCUSA. Reformers within the church are holding on. We're not going to desert the PCUSA and let the nuts take total control. There's a "confessing church" movement working hard to take back the PCUSA and return it to its biblical roots. Condi is a good Presbyterian and a committed Christian. She'd make a good President someday.

So what is it? Yes, no, no, yes, you're undecided now, so what are you gonna do? I think that's a song. I wish she could just do her job without all this hullabaloo.

Hell no to Condi until we know her positions on the issues.

It is amazing how many people here love her but dont even know where she stands on any issues.

If she is a Colin Powell type RINO then no need to nominate her because Hillary is a Leftist woman who is running.

If she is a Colin Powell type RINO then no need to nominate her because Hillary is already a Leftist woman who is running.

I wonder if this is why I'm reading rumors of Harold Ford as Hillary!'s running mate.

Jeb's a good man but I want him to run for the Senate seat if Katherine Harris decides not to run. Should be interesting. Overall Jeb has done a fine job and coming from CA he's done a fine job for FL. Wish I could move there.

Not all Christians define "sanctity of life" the same way you do. For Condi and the Bushes, I'm sure there's nothing that needs "reconciling" -- their beliefs (at least re abortion, etc) are consistent with the positions of the churches they are affiliated with.

I am baking cookies and just realized I said I was pro choice. I wish the Democrats would change it to pro abortion because I meant to say pro life, of course, although there are times when the choice must be made otherwise.

will lose so many votes in the conservative heartland because of her pro-abortion stand that she would be a disastrous presidential candidate.

And that's exactly what the Hillary wants.

If I understand your comment, you believe that "the conservative heartland" will abandon Condi Rice and either stay home or vote instead for...Hillary Clinton.

Just how stupid ARE these "heartland conservatives" you seem to have run into? I don't know a one who would be so self-destructive.
