The city of Washington, DC is infested with a multitude of parasites, scavengers and other nasty and disease-carrying pests, and Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in NW is not immune. In fact, one of the most insidious creatures of all have made Walter Reed's front gate area their Friday night home; the Marxist womyn and eunuchs of Code Pink.
The Code Pink Womyn and Eunuchs for a Marxist America gather on the street outside Walter Reed, ostensibly supporting our wounded soldiers, but in actuality they are waging a psychological war against them and their families; and they are trying to turn their fellow soldiers against them, their leaders and their mission.
And so it was, many weeks ago, that the DC Chapter of Free Republic took on the distasteful task of making their presence known to residents of the area, patients and visitors at Walter Reed, and passers-by.
On Friday, May 20, Kristinn and I took the DC Chapter's corner of Georgia Avenue and Elder Street, across from the main gate at WRAMC - and across from the lone Code Pinko womyn who was hanging her banner (illegally) on US Government property. We unfurled our flags and hoisted our signs, and were almost immediately greeted with appreciative waves-of-the hand and honks-of-the horn from folks leaving Walter Reed. A young military guy came across the street and thanked us, saying, "I'm glad to see somebody protesting against THEM!"
As the Code Pinko womyn was trying in vain to hang her one unburned American flag (on the WRAMC fence), she was joined by another of her comrades, and together they set about trying to light their candles in the brisk breeze. The guy gave up, but the womyn's obsession with lighting the candles continued for nearly thirty minutes.
Code Pink's ranks had grown to number four. The latest two had passed by us and tried to engage us in conversation, but I refused to say a word to either of them. Why would I talk to someone whose actions are getting our soldiers maimed and killed?
It was then that we were visited by another soldier who we had met at one of our previous Freeps. He came came across the street and stopped to talk with us, and again thanked us for being there. He also told us something interesting... he and his buddies looked up Code Pink's website and did some research. They learned that while Code Pink tells the press and the world that they support the soldiers and are for peace, their website paints a greatly contradictory picture. So now the word is getting out, inside the halls, offices and patient rooms at Walter Reed, that the womyn in pink are supporters of the snipers and suicide bombers who are filling Walter Reed with American soldiers. YES!
We were also joined early in the Freep by a charming lady who we had met at a Freep on Wednesday in front of the Washington Post building. So now there were three of us, plus our soldier friend who continued to chat with us as we held our flags and signs and continued to get waves and shouts and honks of support. And then a guy pulled over and hopped out of his car and asked if he could hold a sign, too! He had driven into DC to buy a PowerBall ticket, saw us and could tell by our signs that we were the good guys, so he stopped. I gave him my sign and went back to my vehicle to get more.
Another person had joined the Code Pink group, so they had five for the night. Their last guy got upset at the honks of support we were getting, so he shouted at us, "We're not that different. We both want the same thing!" Later he shouted, "All we want is peace." Sure, buddy. Do a little research on just who you are affiliating with. They do not want peace; and if you truly are a man of peace, you would stay clear of Code Pink.
The five Code Pinkos must not have had too much fun tonight, because they didn't sing their "this little light of mine" song and left promptly at 10pm. Our group stayed on for several minutes, chatting and making plans for next Friday.
Some final comments:
We did receive our requisite lefty flip-off, about midway through our Freep.
Due to winds and lack of able bodies, the MOAB was not deployed last night.
Honor Roll: Kristinn, tgslTakoma, a not-yet-Freeper lady "C," and a not-yet-Freeper gentleman "J."
Ping!
Great! Can't wait for the photos.
Thank you for hanging in there!
THANKS for encouraging the good guys and helping demoralize the demoralizers!
BUMP!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Someone has to stick up for the good guys. Good news that our troops are inside of the hospital doing some research on Code Pinko.
THanks for the report, thanks for being there in the cold rain.
so he shouted at us, "We're not that different. We both want the same thing!" Later he shouted, "All we want is peace."
Hope someone told the pansy to quit shouting in front of a hospital at night...
Thanks, sooooooo much, for standing up for our military! All of us who appreciate and respect those who serve and their families are with you in spirit!
Ohhh, wish I lived in D.C.! I would definitely be out there with you. God bless you and may God bless our troops, our President and our great country!
Ping me when the pix are up. Good work.
Maybe you could do a sign with some pansies (in Code Pink glory) yelling "All we want is peace" and intertwine them with some Medea-like figures in black giving money to the terrorists.
I'm glad to hear that the Code Pink numbers are dwindling as their real mission in life gets more exposure.
Thanks for a job well done.

Great intro paragraph. :)
Good FReep and report.
Sorry that I couldn't make it.
It does get kind of dark on that corner. I had a poster of a crying crocodile mistaken for the Geico gecko, no telling what they'd make of talking pansies at 500 ft. LOL
I haven't seen you in a dog's age, hope you & yours are well.
This force protection mission SITREP for WRMC was great. Look forward to the photos.
If a Friday finds me to Washington this summer, it would be an honor to join up with the DC Chapter.
OLA
Sorry I couldn't be there. Thanks for the report.
Great job.
What type/color of bumper magnetic strip do these anti Americans have on their cars.
Don't bother with photos of the Code Pink scum - let's hav pics of the true heroes of this tale:
You and your intrepid band!
I so wish I could have been there standing with you guys!
I hope, as the word gets around the hospital just who Code Pink really is, that the servicemen will make some comments to them as they go in and out of that entrance. Let them know that they are on to them.
"We are not much different" (????) Kool-aid drinker!!!! (A**h***)
