Can somebody tell me why the mayor is so revered for September 11,2001?

Is it only because he didn't start bawling? What did he actually do that day that makes people take him seriously as a Presidential candidate? I don't get it.

Not only abortion but openly flaunting a girlfriend.

Boycotting respected speakers because of their views on abortion laws who will not be speaking about abortion seems excessive. I think that approach will backfire.

Maybe its me, but isn't this article just a little bit intellectually dishonest? I don't think that this is as big of a supposed dissent from within the church as the article portrays. Loyola is a Jesuit institution and as such, the local diocese have no say over what happens there. Jesuits operate soley at the discretion of their General (I think that's the title ol' Ignatius came up with but don't quote me) and the Holy Father. Historically, local diocese have often tried to do things to make life difficult for the Jesuits. To me this article kind of boils down to someone like Gorgeous George (the new lib celeb de jour don't zot me because of my couple of french words LOL) stating that he won't be attending a commencement given by Margret Thatcher at Oxford?

Well, some small progress in the midst of the madness. Perhaps the recent trips to Rome for the funeral of John Paul II and the election of the new pope infused some orthodox Catholic Viagra into the Cardinal. This is a welcome development.

It would help if ALL of the Cardinals and Bishops would take a more active interest in encouraging Catholic-friendly education at Catholic colleges and discouraging the silly liberal secular humanist anti-Catholic agenda being imposed on the faithful.

At any rate, Christ's Blessings to Cardinal Keeler.
WELCOME HOME!!!

Feel's better there, doesn't it?

A blatant act of Catholicism by William Cardinal Keeler. Perhaps a first. A few more and it will be believable that the cafeteria may actually be closed.

Giuliani is a great guy in many ways, but 750k dead in America a year due to abortion is a little bit of hell-on-earth.
It is good the Church is getting serious about this, cracking down on homosexual pedophiles that made it into the church and battling humanism.

The Church is doing better now what Christ established it to be.
I am happy so far with the new Pope.

Wasn't Marymount stripped of its right to be listed in a Catholic College directory over its having Hitlery as a speaker? I wonder if Loyola will be treated the same when this goes down?

Good for the cardinal, but why are the Jesuits having Guiliani speak in the first place.

While I'm here let me say that Father Pavone said that the Constitution option is the most important vote. This is our best hope to end abortion.

Drudge had a guest on his show Sunday night, who said the Constitutional option vote is going to be close. Just a couple of senators could make the difference.

Even if none of these WAVERING senators is your own senator,
please call 'em, anyway.

The last I heard the six key GOP Senators are Collins (ME), DeWine (OH), Hagel (NE), Murkowski, Specter (PA), and Warner (VA). Frist can afford to lose only two, because McCain, Chafee, and Snowe have declined to end the judicial filibusters.

We can call toll-free at 877-762-8762 .

Fax or e-mail info can be found here (but phone calls are more effective):
http://www.conservativeusa.org/mega-cong.htm

Urge each to FULLY SUPPORT THE FILIBUSTERING
RULES CHANGE.

It might not hurt to tell them about this poll, either:

Should Senate Rules Be Changed?

Yes 57%
No 25%
RasmussenReports.com

Very simple, very straightforward. That's why Rasmussen has such a good track record. They are honest.

Senator John Warner is rather difficult to reach by phone, so here's the link to send him your message. Just click & fill out the form and give him your brief message:

Just got an email this evening someone who got it from the Cardinal Newman Society. The President of the group is appearing tonight on Scarborough Country on MSNBC this evening (10 PM EDT, I think). He is planning to call for Giuliani to step aside and to allow a Pro Life speaker like Fr. Frank Pavone give the commencement. I think the group is picketing the venue where the commencement is to be held as well. Might be worth watching as Scarborough is a reasonable sort.

I am so glad that the Cardinal refused to show up for the graduation. Hillary the Hun was honored today at Marymount - which used to be a Catholic college. This is another disgrace. I am not Catholc but I salute Cardinal Egan for denouncing Marymount. It's about time the Catholic Church excommunicated these pro abortion politicians. They could start with Ted Kennedy, who is also an adulterer, and follow with Geraldine Ferraro, who hs defended abortion on tv.
